Biography. Alexander Novikov: biography, personal life, creativity Alexander Novikov and his women

Alexander Vasilievich Novikov (born 1953) is a Soviet and Russian musician, songwriter in the Russian chanson genre. As a composer, he wrote more than three hundred songs, among which there are many real hits - "Chansonette", "School Romance", "Street Beauty".

A number of Novikov's albums ─ "Carrier", "Ancient City" ─ became real classics. For the entire period of creativity, the artist recorded 24 albums.

Childhood and youth

Alexander Novikov was born on October 31, 1953 in the small village of Burevestnik, located on the Kuril island of Iturup. His father was a military pilot, his mother was a housewife. The specifics of the work of the head of the family dictated a camping mode of life, so the family often moved from place to place - the Baltic States, the Altai Territory, Kyrgyzstan (here he completed an eight-year period) and, finally, Sverdlovsk.

It was in this city that Novikov graduated from high school and, after receiving a certificate, entered the local polytechnic. But the study did not work out, however, as in the mining and forestry institutes, from where, for various reasons, he also had to leave. In this hard times, Alexander tried many professions - a driver, a builder, a car mechanic and even a salesman.

But his true destiny was music. While still in the eighth grade, Novikov first got acquainted with the work of A. Galich, V. Vysotsky, after which there was a great desire to write the same songs and play the guitar masterfully. Decisive and combative in any business, the young man was very complex about the quality of his compositions. Therefore, he often passed off his own songs as strangers, for example, often using the name of A. Dolsky. Then it seemed that if his music began to be criticized, then he simply would not be able to write anymore.

The beginning of a musical career

Already in the late 70s he began to earn extra money in the most prestigious restaurants of the Ural capital. In 1981, the enterprising musician created the Novik Records recording studio, whose clients were the leading Ural bands - Agatha Christie, Chaif and many others. In 1980, the Rock Polion group was created, where Novikov played the role of a singer and guitarist, while writing its repertoire.

During the years of late stagnation, the rock movement in Sverdlovsk was only in its infancy. In 1984, the famous Sverdlovsk rock club was created, in which Novikov took part. By that time, he had long begun to write songs and collaborated with several bands at once. During this period, several magnetic albums were recorded - “Take me, cabman”, “Rock polygon” I and II. Among the many songs, "The Carrier" became the most beloved.

Criminal case

Novikov has always been distinguished by the desire for independence and the desire to live according to his own principles, not imposed by anyone. He was never in the wake of Soviet power, often criticizing the existing order. As the musician himself said: "I am decisive and easy to act." Of course, this attitude found expression in creativity.

In the mid-80s, when there were no first Soviet entrepreneurs and cooperators, Alexander Novikov organized something like a company that was engaged in the manufacture of musical equipment. This caused a negative reaction from the authorities, as a result of which a criminal case was initiated. The musician was charged with the manufacture of counterfeit products, allegedly he passed off his instruments as imported ones.

In early October 1984, the singer was detained right on the street and taken to the local police department. It is interesting that Novikov's criminal case amounted to as many as 17 volumes, the first of which was devoted to the analysis of his musical material. The experts issued a disappointing verdict - the songs promote alcoholism, violence and prostitution, so the author needs psychiatric or prison isolation. In 1985, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court listened to these arguments and sentenced Alexander to 10 years in prison.

He served his sentence in the Northern Urals in the city of Ivdel. Considering the available merits, Alexander was offered to work in the library, but he refused and, together with everyone, went through the test of hard work, for which he earned the respect of criminal authorities. Five years later, on the basis of a decree of the Supreme Council, Novikov will be released. Then the Supreme Court will cancel the verdict due to the lack of corpus delicti in the actions of the musician.

Dashing 90s

In 1991, during the GKChP putsch, Novikov condemned the attempt of orthodox communists to return the past and actively supported the Russian leadership. It was during these years that Alexander Vasilyevich publicly condemned the vicious practice of television people to charge money from performers. He also sharply criticized the clan system on the stage, for which he received unspoken prohibitions from the TV bosses.

In 1993, a new round happened in Novikov's career - he became the producer of the young singer Natalia Sturm. They met quite by chance at one of the concerts. Alexander really did not like Natalia's repertoire, and he offered to write new musical material for her. As a result, more than 20 songs were born, and "School Romance" became for many graduates a real symbol of the end of school life. Their project was overgrown with many rumors, the main of which is related to the fact that Novikov allegedly won the singer in cards. But later both denied this information, declaring the invention of this sensation by journalists.

In 1994, the singer, in collaboration with director K. Kotelnikov, created the documentary film “Oh, this Farian!” Dedicated to the legendary group “Boney M.” and its founder F. Farian. In the future, the period of Novikov's creative flowering begins. He is actively invited to shoot, he writes many songs and shoots videos. Among them: "Hugging a Beauty", "Street Beauty", "Carrier", "Catherine Blues".

In 1994, Novikov wrote the song "Chansonette", for which a unique clip for that time was shot, combining a real image with drawings. In 1995, Alexander Vasilievich received the prestigious Ovation Award, and two years later he released the album Sergei Yesenin, written to the poems of the great poet. According to many art historians, this material has become one of the most successful works related to the processing of Yesenin's poems.

Having written hundreds of songs, Novikov went down in history as the creator of the genre of modern urban romance, which has become the personification of the harsh realities of our life.

Not with a single song

Alexander Novikov has always stood out for his active life position and indifference to everything that happens. At his expense, seven bells were cast and donated to the men's monastery at Ganina Yama. In 2000, he organized the Bells of Repentance charity event, the funds raised from which were used to make bells for the Church on the Blood in Yekaterinburg.

In 2010, the bard headed the Ural State Variety Theater. One of his first decisions was the exclusion from the repertoire of the play "The Blue Puppy", in which he saw propaganda of non-traditional orientation. Since then, the expression “homosexual vuvuzelas” has spread among the people, which Novikov uttered when commenting on the removal of this production from the repertoire.

ideological person

Novikov does not go into his pocket for a word and tells it like it is. He does not hide the fact that he is critical of the activities of I. Krutoy, calling him a bribe-taker. He does not like the humor of "Full House", which, as the musician says, "is always below the belt." The musician considers it an insult to himself if his name is personified with domestic show business. “I don’t participate in a common pack, so I can say whatever I think”- says Alexander.

He loves the poems of S. Yesenin, calling them "tearing out the soul", and does not shy away from regularly visiting the grave of the Russian poet. One of the main characters of the domestic chanson, even in his 60s, he calls himself a bully, a bandit and a robber. In the sense that it is easier for him to take away his wallet than to beg. And when he sees hooligans offending the weak, he will first beat, and not call the police.

On the eve of his 50th birthday, Novikov abandoned all regalia and titles, so today he has only the Order of St. Danilo of Moscow, presented by the patriarch, to his credit. The musician is active in public activities, heading the 400th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty Foundation.

Personal life

Alexander Novikov does not like to advertise his family relationships, so he rarely speaks on this topic. It is known that he has been legally married for almost 40 years, and his wife's name is Maria. They met during geodetic practice, where the future wife worked in the dining room. Novikov rarely went there, and if he visited a catering establishment, he never handed over dirty dishes. And when he made an exception once, he saw her and fell in love at first sight.

In 1975, Alexander and Maria got married. The couple had two children - daughter Natalia and son Igor. In one of the interviews, the musician admitted that he would never leave his wife, no matter what the press wrote about it.

Alexander NOVIKOV - a singer, poet, composer - keeps aloof not only from the domestic show business, which he hates with all his heart, but also from the glorious brotherhood of performers of his own songs - chansonniers and bards. He found himself in some niche of his own, in which he is presented in a single copy and where he feels incredibly comfortable. And it has been that way since childhood.

My father, a military pilot, met my mother when she was studying at the Agricultural Institute in Simferopol, - says. - Then my father was sent to serve on the Kuril island of Iturup, where I was born to them. Then they transferred to Sakhalin. My younger sister Natasha was born there.

Natasha is a talented athlete, she played for the country's youth basketball team and was considered an incredibly promising player. But she died at the age of 17 in a plane crash - she flew to Prague with the youth team and the plane crashed. All the girls 16-17 years old that were in the national team crashed. After that, the mother never recovered, did not survive this blow.

Hooligan-excellent

- Did you meet with your father then?

Parents separated in Frunze, father retired and married again. I was already an adult and came to Kyrgyzstan on business. Found it. We tried not to talk about our families - we had the usual household conversation between father and son. A month later, my father passed away. It's good that I saw him goodbye.

Mom went through a divorce quite hard, did not want to stay in Frunze and changed her apartment to Sverdlovsk - that was the name of the city of Yekaterinburg at that time. Why he is, I don't know. She once studied there and apparently retained warm memories of the city.

For several years I studied in Slavgorod in Altai. Parents sent there just in the period of their divorce. Studied, by the way, on one five. My memory was phenomenal!

- It is very difficult to imagine you as an excellent student... For some reason I thought that you had more hooliganism and mischief.

I was a bully paramount! He was never considered a leader, but he did not go among the inconspicuous either. Always fought.

I remember well how already in Sverdlovsk we went to fight with the neighboring district - a hundred people against a hundred, on a railway embankment - and I, with a guitar at the ready, in the forefront. My signature number was the "Spanish collar" - this is when you put a guitar on someone's head.

- Didn't you feel sorry for the guitar? Did you already know how to use it for its intended purpose?

For the first time I picked up a guitar in Frunze in the eighth grade. The boys and I went to the cinema to see the film "Vertical". Both the film itself and especially the songs Vysotsky made such an impression on me that I walked out of the cinema and realized that now I don’t have a life without a guitar. I came home and told my mother: “Buy me a guitar” - my birthday was just approaching.

If the guitar was smashed in a fight, the yard chipped in for a new one - it cost about seven rubles. I earned money myself - I already won quite well at cards, I went to unload the wagons. After all, we not only had fights, but also mutual assistance, they gave the last shirt, if necessary. It is now in our country that the weak will be killed so that they do not suffer, but then we were brought up like that - if he is weak, help him become strong.

At this time in school, I did not study so well. In literature, they gave me cola and deuces, because I called the story Gorky"Mother" toilet work. The teacher was horrified, but I considered this work to be opportunistic, written on the instructions of the Party and therefore had nothing in common with literature.

In general, I graduated from high school with only triples. And - the only one in the entire issue - with a four in behavior. At the same time, I was not a member of the Komsomol, and the director told me, handing the certificate: “Sasha, go work at the factory, because you can’t go anywhere.” And I brazenly replied: “I’ll buy a plant, then I’ll go to work for it.”

That's where it came from then, in the terry Soviet era?

I bought the plant twenty years later, however, I not only didn’t work on it, but I didn’t even visit it - my friend and companion was engaged in it.

The first love

- And when did Sasha Novikov, a guitarist and a hooligan, fall in love for the first time?

I fell in love for the first time in Slavgorod in Tom Polezhaev. It happened in third grade. Well, I liked the girl very much ... Then I also fell in love a lot, but most often unrequited. Apparently, I chose the wrong ones, or something. Suffered. But thanks to these feelings - they helped me a lot later. I remembered this state of mine well, I could introduce myself into it - and then interesting things were born, such as “Remember, girl ...”, under which more than one generation of lovers has grown up.

Women are not another gender, they are another planet. But here's what's interesting: women never betrayed me, but men - many times.

At the Mining Institute, I met Masha. We had classes in another building, and there I saw a girl who was going down the stairs. Something immediately clicked in my head, all thoughts were to find her. And then we met at geodetic practice and got to know each other there. And I immediately realized that it was she who should become my wife. We lived together for 35 years, and now, if I had to choose, I would marry only her. I am a monster, and to live so many years with me is a feat in its own way.

She and I got married just at the moment when I was expelled from the institute.

- For what?

For a fight. In the dormitory of our institute, I beat at the same time a Komsomol organizer, a trade union organizer and a warden. They considered themselves hosts in the hostel and found fault with me that I did not check in on the watch and personally did not report to them that I had come to visit friends. Since I did not react in any way to their remark, they took my jacket and threw it out onto the stairs. Well... In general, a fight broke out, I broke one of the glasses so that the whole face was covered in blood, and they called the police. They took me to the regional department, and in the morning they called me to the investigator. A pretty woman asks me to tell you how it was. I ask: “Would you like to tell me for the record or how it really happened?” She replied: "How it was." Well, I began to tell that this Komsomol riffraff drinks vodka and drives girls like everyone else. And then he writes denunciations against his own comrades - who, with whom, what time and how. She listened to me carefully and said: “I believe you, because my son studies at this institute and tells me the same thing.” Then she sighed: “But you will have to issue 15 days for hooliganism.”

But the judge also turned out to be a normal person and made a decision: a fine of 30 rubles. Collected in the hostel the required amount, paid. I was called to the dean's office. Dean Kabakov Yury Arefievich, he was a nice man, he said to me: “I would have left you, but it came to the party committee. Write as you wish." I was expelled, but the wedding took place, Masha did not renounce me, she was not afraid.

I no longer went to study, but went to work in a restaurant.

Criminal case

- Did you perform your songs in the restaurant?

No, we sang the entire Pesnyary repertoire, everything that was fashionable then. But he wrote songs. Then all these amplifiers, speakers, microphones were unsuitable for work, and there was simply no other way out, how to make them ourselves. I made them so well that I exchanged my equipment for scarce guitars, sold them, and with this money I got imported instruments. I already had my own studio, my own ensemble, we performed at the UPI Palace of Culture, and the halls were bursting with the public. They dispersed us, turned off the light. Now it's all hard to imagine, but it was.

I would probably still be engaged in the production of equipment, but in 1984 we decided to record the album "Take me, cabman ...".

The album came out on May 3, and since July they have started to follow me closely. Phones were tapped, a tail followed my car, I understood that the ring was shrinking. Yes, and my pursuers were not very hiding - it was impossible to jump out of the country at that moment. I understood that I would be arrested, and I was only afraid for my family - my son Igor then turned ten years old, and two years ago my daughter was born.

Why weren't you arrested right away?

They needed a circle of my friends, connections, relationships. Formally, I was accused of illegal entrepreneurial activity, but my criminal case begins with the document “Expertise of the songs of Alexander Novikov”. The authors of the examination - well-known cultural figures of the Urals - after analyzing my songs, concluded that I need psychiatric help, or better - in prison isolation.

I behaved quite defiantly during the investigation, because I understood: my fate had already been decided and nothing could be done. Investigators and interrogators from the first interrogations began to say that I had no way out of here.

Then a KGB colonel talked to me. He began by saying: “I like your songs, but you have no chance to get out - you will get 10 years. Therefore, my advice to you is to be worthy.” By the way, I am grateful to him for these words.

But the charge was blinded to me under a criminal article. All documents have now been destroyed, although after my release I tried to find my criminal case. The court went on for 40 days, students with reel-to-reel tape recorders walked around the building and played my songs. They gave me 10 years, as promised by the colonel.

- Tell me, how did your wife react to all this? Reproached?

Never. Although it was very difficult for her - all our property was confiscated, including irons and clothes. She came to visit me in the zone, and although I lived in eternal conflict with the administration of the colony, they did not deprive me of meetings, on the contrary, they gave me three days instead of a day. I only asked her not to bring children to the colony so that they would not see this horror.

- And what, never had a thought to leave the country?

Why should I leave the country just because bastards and degenerates live in it? My task is to rid the country of them.

Alexander, probably, they won’t understand me if I don’t ask a question about your other very scandalous project - the singer Natalia Shturm. In her memoirs, she writes about you impartially.

What she says, let it remain on her conscience. Why would I comment on fantasies when I know the truth? When we finished working with her, we agreed that we would not speak publicly about each other. I kept my word, she didn't.

You correctly said that it was precisely a project, and one should not ascribe to it the significance of a novel.

When I encountered extortion on television, I decided: they will not receive a single penny from me. My videos were not shown on TV, because it was considered: chanson. But then, smiling mockingly, they offered me to pay five or six thousand dollars, and then - please. So, for free - my songs are chanson, but for money - not chanson and good?

At some concert I met Storm. To her question: "Well, how?" - told her that the repertoire is no good. She replied: “What to do, there is no other way. Perhaps you will write? Why not? This, of course, was a grandiose adventure on my part, because I never wrote women's songs and did not act as a producer. And so he wrote "School Romance". I came up with a clip and even drew butterflies for it with my own hand. And then another two dozen songs.

"School Romance" became a super hit and is still performed at the end of the school year in all Russian-speaking schools around the world. The song was played non-stop by both radio and television for several years in a row without any cash injections from my side.

- And what is the story that you allegedly won Natalia Shturm in cards?

Just at the time when I was producing in an amateurish way, but with faith in success, the journalists of one tabloid newspaper did an interview and asked me to come up with something like that for the cover. I was leaving on tour, there was no time, I said: “Invent yourself!” And they figured it out. And so many years have passed, and at concerts there is always at least one note, but with a question about this stupidity, it will definitely come.

In general, production in our country is a thankless task.

Yes, and I have absolutely no time for this today - work in the studio, tours. And now, the Variety Theater in Yekaterinburg, which I was instructed to head, has been added to my duties. And no matter what ill-wishers squeak at me about this, I will say: this theater will be the best variety theater in Russia!

October 31, 1953 in the village of Burevestnik near the island of Iturupe, the creative and famous Alexander Novikov was born. Known as an author-musician of songs in the genre of Russian chanson. His father is a military pilot, his mother is a housewife.

From an early age, parents comprehensively developed the guy. As a child, I went to boxing, then to sambo. Mom tried to instill a love for the theater. The first production where they visited was "Unknown with a Tail". The family moved to Kyrgyzstan in the city of Bishkek, the boy was 6 years old. Went to first grade in 1960. In 1969 moved to Sverdlovsk, where he completed his education, and in 1970 received his diploma. To this day he works and lives in Sverdlovsk. After he graduated from school, he entered three universities - the Ural Polytechnic, Sverdlovsk Mining, Ural Forestry, each of which he was expelled for his own reasons.

Personal life

In the last university I met a girl Masha. Soon, in 1975, she became his wife and in the same year gave birth to his son Igor. Seven years later, she also gave birth to a daughter, who was named Natasha. Novikov challenged rules and principles. The guy was with character, often went against the opinion of people. The Soviet regime criticized. The Komsomol was not fundamentally, he terribly did not tolerate them. The authorities were interested in such a person, the higher circles were vigilantly watching him.

Hobbies

Since the 1970s, he has been very fond of cars, for this reason he got a job as an auto mechanic. His job was to restore cars after a car accident. Novikov had a "penny" car, which he purchased. Some driver crashed on it, and Alexander managed to restore it, thus he appropriated it for himself. In the late 70s, he became interested in rock music. Sasha got a job as a musician and singer in restaurants in Sverdlovsk. He worked in such establishments "Cosmos", "Malachite", "Ural dumplings".

The beginning of creativity

For 4 years of work, I collected a lot of money. He opened his own master studio "Novik-records". There he began to record his rock songs.

He created his own group "Rock-polygon" in 1980. He called his first album "Rock Polygon". The songs were performed in the styles of rock and roll, reggae, new wave with elements of punk rock and psychedelic rock. The government did not support the activity of the musicians, so the group was not entirely legal. The musical equipment was made by Novikov himself. Musicians still use some of the equipment.

In 1984, Alexander Novikov liked the chanson, he wanted to create his own "plow" songs. In 1984 he released an album with 18 songs. The following people worked on the creation of the album: Abramov, Khomenko, Chekunov, Kuznetsov, Elizarov. So the hits “Take me, cabman”, “I came from the Jewish quarter” and “Remember, girl?” appeared.

We worked on the album at night in the House of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Uralmash plant. They avoided the authorities, they were afraid that they would not have time to finish what they started, but they were not afraid of prisons. Some elderly gentleman, a specialist in this business, took up the promotion of this album. True, he immediately told Novikov: “I can roll it out all over the country in two months, but you, young man, will be imprisoned.” The moral character of the guy did not stop, and already in May, on the 3rd of 1984, the album “Take Me, Cabbie” was released. The album became very popular, it broke all records in circulation, it was listened to in all corners of the country and throughout the Soviet Union. The furore was amazing. The musician was followed, his phone was tapped, the sector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union was outraged by such behavior.

Arrest and freedom

On October 5, 1984, the musician was seized right on the street and placed in an isolation cell in Sverdlovsk. In the criminal case there was every song of his and a review of it. The authorities believed that Alexander Novikov should end up either in a psychiatric hospital or in prison. The musician was also accused of creating musical equipment. He was given 10 years of strict regime.

For all the years of imprisonment, he was offered light work, but Alexander refused, he, like everyone else, worked at a logging site, a construction site. Novikov was a man with a modest demeanor who was not afraid of hard work, for which he was respected by all the prisoners. Being in a cell alone for 30 days, he wrote his another song "On East Street". Was released in 1990 by the Russian Armed Forces, annulled the sentence. In the 1990s he became the artistic director of the Song Theatre. The musician was put on the list of undesirable persons for his unpleasant remarks.

creative upsurge

Closer to the mid-90s, Alexander Novikov began to speak on television and radio. He toured, gave concerts and recorded new albums.

In 1993 he was the producer of the young singer Natalia Shturm. He made a film in the documentary genre about the group "Boney M." and its creator Frank Farian "Oh, this Farian!" in 1994. Filming took place in Luxembourg and Germany, the film includes Farian's unique interviews and materials from his personal archive. The film was not shown in Russia. Alexander Novikov also starred in such films as "Gop-stop show", "Remember, girl?", "I just got out of the cage." Novikov received the Ovation Award in the Urban Romance nomination in 1995. He created an album called "Sergey Yesenin", wrote songs to the poet's poems, the musicians appreciated his album and considered it the best. Alexander wrote over 300 songs and poems.

The first clip that became unique is "Chansonette". In this clip, all the characters were made by hand without the help of computer graphics. Alexander Novikov was the first to create the urban romance genre.

Life today

Today Sasha lives with his wife, is proud of his children and grandchildren. Likes fishing, hunting. He became an authority in criminal circles, but he sees nothing wrong with that. Sasha is a believer, he helps in the construction of the temple. He cast bells for the Church-on-the-Blood and for the monastery of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers at Ganina Yama. The bells are unique. He became an outstanding musician of the 20th century. The best work considers "Remember, girl?". Takes part in the Kremlin in the National Award "Chanson of the Year". He refers his songs to male lyrics. Tours frequently. Alexander Novikov is a musician, composer, singer, author and public figure. President of the Ural Foundation "400 Years of the House of the Romanovs". Directs the Variety Theater in Yekaterinburg.

When he was appointed artistic director, the first thing he did was to give a decree to ban the play "The Blue Puppy", in which he saw signs of pedophilia propaganda.

Biography

Childhood and youth

Born on October 31, 1953 on the Iturup Island of the Kuril Archipelago, in the village of Burevestnik. Father is a military pilot, mother is a housewife. For the first 2 years of his life, Novikov and his family lived on Sakhalin, then for some time he lived in the Latvian village of Vaynode, then for ten years in the city of Frunze, and in 1969 Novikov moved to the city of Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), where he continues to live and work to this day. time.

Sasha Novikov grew up as a very smart boy. However, he studied poorly at school, did not observe discipline, and already in the 4th-5th grade Novikov was expelled from the ranks of the pioneers. In everyday life, the future musician was an open anti-Soviet.

Novikov also showed his temperamental character in boxing and sambo.

Passion for music to the young Alexander Novikov came in 1967 under the impression of watching the film "Vertical" with the participation of Vladimir Vysotsky, who performed 5 of his songs in the film. As a student at UPI, he performed as part of the institute's VIA "Polymer". He was expelled from the institute for performing the song "The Beatles" at one of the institute's events.

In 1971, he received his first term for a fight in a restaurant. Novikov and his friend stood up for the waitress against an opponent who refused to pay and used physical force against her. The opponent himself then ended up in the hospital, and the waitress got his watch, which Novikov and a friend, having taken it out of the pocket of an unconscious opponent, gave it to her. Novikov was given a suspended sentence for a year with mandatory involvement in labor (popularly "chemistry"), during which he built the House of Life in Nizhny Tagil.

In 1980, he created the Rock Polygon group, where he performed as a soloist, guitarist and songwriter. The songs were performed in rock and roll, reggae and new wave styles with elements of punk rock, hard rock and psychedelic rock. The texts were distinguished by the spirit of philharmonic. The group recorded two self-titled albums in (in the official publication for the year, it is erroneously indicated as ) and 1984.

In 1981, he founded the Novik Records recording studio, where not only Novikov's albums were recorded, but also many Sverdlovsk musicians - in the future, Chaif, Agatha Christie, Nautilus Pompilius and others.

In 1984, Novikov sharply departed from rock music and on May 3rd recorded the famous album “Take Me, Cabbie”. The musicians of the "Rock Polygon", including Alexey Khomenko and Vladimir Elizarov, took part in the recording. The album broke all records of popularity and the scale of replication.

Arrest

On October 5, 1984, Novikov was arrested, and in 1985, by the verdict of the Sverdlovsk court, he was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 10 years - under Art. 93-1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Officially - in connection with the activities for the manufacture and sale of counterfeit electronic musical equipment. However, in his interviews, A. Novikov repeatedly noted that he was imprisoned precisely for the album “Take me, cabman”, referring to the case that began with the document “Expertise on the songs of Alexander Novikov”, which contained reviews of each song from the album “Take me me, cabbie." As a result of this examination, it was decided that:

The examination was carried out by the composer Evgeny Rodygin, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR, a member of the editorial committee of the Ural magazine Vadim Ocheretin, and a representative of the USSR Ministry of Culture Viktor Nikolayevich Olyunin.

In the camp, Alexander Vasilyevich wrote most of his best poems, including "Bench lyrics", "I got pain and salt into my wounds ...", "Guitar and barrel organ", "We will not see you soon ...", "Gypsy", " Four teeth”, “Wife”, “The night is rammed right through by a star…” and others. Also, while still in the SIZO cell, Novikov created the play-fable “Komarilla”, in which, in a comic form, the whole picture of the court is presented, and real people involved in the poet’s “case” are shown under the masks of animals.

Subsequently, in 2012, the autobiographical book Notes of a Criminal Bard was published, covering the period of Alexander Novikov's life spent in the camp.

Liberation and further developments

The very next day after his arrival in Sverdlovsk, the bard sat down in a music studio to work on songs, most of which he composed in custody. The result of the work was the albums "In Yekaterinburg", which was recorded in three weeks, and "Magadan's Necklace". Novikov gave his first concerts after his release, or rather creative meetings, in May in the house of culture of the village of Verkh-Neyvinsky (Sverdlovsk region), and from May 25 to 27, the bard, together with his accompanying group, gave the first "big" concerts in the Sverdlovsk Sports Palace.

Immediately after this, a tour of the cities of the USSR followed. At the very beginning of 1991, Novikov gave his first concerts in Moscow, and immediately at the Variety Theater. These sold-out performances were recorded on film and included in the documentary "Gop Stop Show".

Novikov spent most of his first big fees on business development and charity. So, Novikov transferred all the funds from one of the concerts at the Variety Theater for the construction of the Yekaterinburg Temple on the Blood). For this temple, he also developed, together with the Ural master Nikolai Pyatkov, models and cast 7 bells at his own expense. However, since the temple had not been built at that time, in 2000 he transferred them to the men's monastery on Ganina Yama. All bells have bas-reliefs of members of the royal family and the names of each of them. The largest of them is called "Nicholas II", the smallest - "Tsesarevich Alexei".

In the 1990s, Novikov at various times owned several shops in Yekaterinburg, a collective farm, a shipping company from the UAE, an airline, and a factory of difibrer stones (there are only two such factories in the world, in Canada and Yekaterinburg).

In August 1991, he spoke out against the State Emergency Committee.

In parallel with business, producing and charitable activities, Novikov continued to record his new songs and shoot videos for some of them. In 1993, Novikov and director Kirill Kotelnikov shot a unique video for the song "Chansonette", in which the real image was combined with the drawn one, and without the use of computer technology. The clip was shown quite actively on Russian television channels.

Despite this, Novikov already then sharply criticized the then state of the domestic show business. He condemned the degradation of the Russian stage, the low taste of performers and their authors, the dominance of buggers, the clannishness and nepotism of show business itself, and also called the practice of television workers to take money from performers in the form of bribes for scrolling clips. As a result of this, the bard got into the unspoken lists of "persons undesirable for display", but this only added to the popularity and interest in the personality of A. Novikov from ordinary citizens.

In 1994, together with Kirill Kotelnikov, he made a documentary film about the Boney M. group and its creator Frank Farian, Oh, this Farian! ("Oh, this Farian!"). Filming took place in Luxembourg and Germany, the film includes Farian's unique interviews and materials from his personal archive. However, the film was never shown on Russian television.

On January 24, 1998, he took part in a gala concert in honor of the 60th anniversary of Vladimir Vysotsky, held at the Olimpiysky sports complex. Among the three dozen artists, Novikov is one of the few who had the honor of performing two songs by the legendary singer-songwriter at once: "Song about the informer" and "Big Karetny". The famous writer Fyodor Razzakov in the book “Vladimir Vysotsky. I will definitely be back…”

The idea [of the concert] was doomed from the start. It is one thing to sing "Old songs about the main thing", and quite another - the songs of Vysotsky. Therefore, only two or three performers (Alexander Novikov, "Lesopoval", "Lube") managed, if not to get closer to the author's version, then at least not to spoil it. All the other participants in the concert did not cope with this.

On June 16, 2003, Alexander Novikov was awarded the highest church award - the Order of the Holy Prince Daniel of Moscow for his services in the construction of the Church-on-the-Blood in Yekaterinburg. Since 2004, President of the 400th Anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty Foundation in the Urals.

On June 24, 2010, he was appointed artistic director of the [state] Variety Theatre. Having become the artistic director of the theater, Novikov first of all banned the play "The Blue Puppy", in which he saw signs of propaganda of pedophilia.

These vuvuzelas of homosexuality, looking at the world through a walleye, which they always have for some reason in a bulging state ... So, through these walleyes, any healthy event and a normal act seem to them an attack on their mythical homosexual rights, growing directly from Sodom and Gomorrah.

Alexander Novikov

After this case, the expression "vuvuzelas of homosexuality" gained a lot of popularity on the Internet.

On October 28, 2010, a new album by Alexander Novikov was released on the verses of poets of the Silver Age, in the recording of which Maxim Pokrovsky took part, performing together with Novikov a song based on the verses of Sasha Cherny "Tararam". Alexander Vasilyevich described the result of his work on the creation of this album as follows:

The disc "Pineapples in Champagne" is a gallery of bizarre and unique jewels of the poetry of the "Silver Age". I made a musical setting for each of them. Five years of fine jewelry work

Member of the annual National Award Chanson of the Year in the Kremlin.

In 2014-2018 he was a member of the jury of the TV show "Three Chords" and repeatedly performed on its stage.

In December 2016, Novikov was charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud). On December 23 he was sent by the court for two months under house arrest. According to investigators, Novikov and former Deputy Minister of Economy of the Sverdlovsk Region Mikhail Shilimanov collected about 150 million rubles from shareholders in the construction of the Queens Bay cottage settlement in Yekaterinburg, and then transferred this money to their accounts. The construction of the village was stopped, the law enforcement officers estimated the amount of damage at 35 million 627 thousand rubles.

On July 30, 2018, the Department of State Housing and Construction Supervision of the Sverdlovsk Region signed a conclusion on the compliance of the constructed facility with the requirements of technical regulations. On September 7, 2018, the Ministry of Construction of the Sverdlovsk Region issued a permit for the commissioning of PZHSK "Queens Bay" houses. From this moment, shareholders can receive their apartments and draw up a certificate of ownership.

Facts

Knowing the biography of Alexander Novikov is important for everyone who understands Russian music. This is a well-known domestic performer of his own songs in the chanson style. A unique musician who has been refusing to receive the title of Honored Artist of Russia three times already. In total, he wrote about three hundred songs, the most famous of which are "Chansonette", "Take Me, Coachman", "Street Beauty", "Remember, Girl? ..". In his discography there are as many as 20 numbered albums, he is a multiple winner of the Ovation and Chanson of the Year awards.

early years

We will begin to tell the biography of Alexander Novikov in 1953, when he was born on Iturup Island in the Sakhalin Region. The hero of our article grew up in the small military town of Burevestnik, as his father was a military pilot, and his mother was a housewife.

A few years later, changes came in the biography of Alexander Novikov and his family. The father was transferred to another place of service, the family moved to Bishkek on the territory of modern Kyrgyzstan. There Sasha went to first grade. But it was already produced in Sverdlovsk.

Education

As a teenager, Alexander was already distinguished by a negative attitude towards the state system in the country. For example, he even refused to join the Komsomol, because of which he constantly had problems with teachers and the police. As a result, this fact became decisive when entering a university.

Although Novikov made three attempts: he tried out at the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute, then at the Ural Polytechnic and Forestry Engineering, but everywhere to no avail. Soon he was expelled.

True, he was not very upset because of this, because already at that time rock music occupied a large place in his life, it can be said with certainty that it had a significant impact on the biography of Alexander Novikov.

Early career

In addition to rock music, he was also fond of chanson, thanks to which he became famous in the future. When his career was already gaining momentum, Alexander was arrested.

At first he was accused of the anti-Soviet content of the songs, but since it was not easy to prove this, the charge was later replaced. They decided to judge the hero of our article for falsification and speculation in musical technology.

The singer received a real sentence - ten years in prison. In the zone, Alexander was offered a simple job more than once, for example, as a librarian, but he categorically refused, going daily with everyone to logging. So the bard Alexander Vasilyevich Novikov overcame this difficult period in his biography with his head held high. He was respected by other prisoners.

During perestroika in 1990, the sentence to the hero of our article was recognized by the Supreme Court as unfounded, he was released on parole. In total, Alexander spent six years in prison.

creative career

Novikov's creative career began to develop in the early 80s, but popularity came to him only after his release from prison. The conclusion left its mark on the biography of the bard Alexander Novikov, hence, apparently, the choice of the appropriate repertoire.

At the very beginning of his career, he even managed to organize his own team, which was called "Rock Polygon". The musician himself wrote songs for the group, performing them on the guitar. True, the style of the very first compositions was strikingly different from those songs that his fans are used to today. In the early 80s it was a mixture of rock and roll and punk rock.

Format change

In 1981, the first magnetic albums in the country were created at the Novik Records recording studio. But already in 1984, the musician dramatically changed the format of his work.

Novikov writes down a whole collection of soulful songs, which included such hits as "Telephone Conversation", "Ancient City", "Where Pathways Lead", "Rubles-Kopecks". After that, a long pause followed in the creative biography of the bard Alexander Novikov, associated with imprisonment.

On the loose

Returning to freedom, he re-releases the previous album. After its appearance on the shelves of music stores, the compositions "East Street", "Remember, girl? .." immediately become real hits. He writes most of the songs himself, creating the texts loved by the listeners.

There are several albums in Novikov's work, the songs in which are written to the verses of other authors. For example, in 1997, the disc "Sergey Yesenin" appeared, on which the poems of the poet of the Silver Age, set to music, became hits. Later, he repeated this experience, releasing another album on Yesenin's poems called "I Remember, Beloved" and the album "Pineapples in Champagne", which contained poems by various poets of the Silver Age.

Since the mid-90s, the musician regularly travels around the country with concerts and solo programs. Music from such performances is published in the form of separate albums. He has already accumulated 15 such disks.

During his creative career, Novikov was only 12 times nominated for the Chanson of the Year award, having managed to win nine times.

Social activity

In 2010, unexpectedly for many, Novikov was appointed artistic director of the Variety Theater in his native Yekaterinburg, where most of the youth of the hero of our article spent. Having revised the repertoire, Alexander Vasilyevich banned the production of "The Blue Puppy", which was loved by local theatergoers. In the performance, the artist himself saw a hint of low-grade, pedophilia and bad taste. This decision caused a scandal with the local creative elite. Thus began his work as an artistic director.

In 2011, Novikov was again in the media spotlight when he urged the people of Yekaterinburg not to go to the polls along with prominent opposition politician Alexei Navalny.

In 2014 and 2015, Novikov was a member of the jury of the popular TV show "Three Chords", which aired on Channel One, and he himself repeatedly performed on stage.

In 2016, it became known that Novikov himself plans to run for deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region. However, new problems with the law did not allow him to take part in the elections.

Again in the center of the criminal case

In December 2016, it became known that a criminal case had been initiated against Novikov under the article "Fraud on an especially large scale." Just before the New Year, the court sent him under house arrest for a period of two months.

According to the investigators who conducted this case, Novikov, together with the ex-deputy minister of the Sverdlovsk region Mikhail Shilimanov, collected money from shareholders in the construction of a cottage village in Yekaterinburg called "Kvinsk Bay". In total, they managed to get about 150 million rubles.

After that, they transferred the money to their accounts, and the construction of houses was frozen. The investigation estimated the final amount of damage at about 35.5 million rubles. In January 2017, it became known that Novikov, being under house arrest, left Russia for the United Arab Emirates for treatment. However, he soon returned.

Family

All his fans strive to learn about the biography, personal life, children of Alexander Novikov. The hero of our article is married, his chosen one is called Maria. He met her in geodetic practice, when he was still studying at the Geological Institute.

When he was in prison, the woman did not turn away from him. She and her husband went through all the difficulties, now they have been together for more than forty years. So in the biography of Alexander Novikov, personal life played a big role. His wife did not allow him to give up and despair in difficult times. In communication with representatives of the media, Novikov often emphasized that he was grateful to his wife and did not want to change anything in his family.

Even in the black stripes of his biography, singer Alexander Novikov could always rely on his family. He and Mary had two children. Daughter Natalya became an art critic and designer, and son Igor is a professional photo artist. Currently, the singer has already become a grandfather.

It is known that Novikov is a deeply religious person. However, he is not limited to attending church and prayers. In 1993, together with a bell-maker from Uralsk, he cast seven large bells, which he decorated with bas-reliefs of the Romanov tsars. All this belfry was donated to the monastery, where it remains to this day. Here is everything that is known about the biography of the singer Alexander Novikov, the personal life of the hero of our article.

Activities in recent years

The new criminal case against Novikov has become the main thing that has occupied the famous singer in recent years. The investigation and prosecution of the charges in court proved to be complex and confusing. As a result, the whole process dragged on for two whole years. Only in August 2017, the court of Yekaterinburg made a final decision, finding the musician guilty of a crime. Novikov himself categorically denies everything, presenting evidence of his innocence. One of them, according to him, is the completion of the construction of cottages and the transfer of real estate to the shareholders of the residential complex.

On Channel One, there was even a release of the Let They Talk program with Dmitry Borisov, which was dedicated to this event. There were many who wanted to speak out about the scandalous criminal case.

The singer himself, after the release of the program on the screen, sued its creators and presenter Dmitry Borisov, accusing him of denigrating his reputation as an artist and outright slander. Alexander himself announced this on one of his pages on social networks. Currently, the legality of the actions of the television company and the creators of the program "Let them talk" is being checked.

In September 2018, the singer announced the release of his new album called Fire Girl. Prior to that, his last albums were called "Thieves", "E-album", "Break up with her", "I remember, my love ...", "Ponty of Cupid". His collection "Hooligan Songs" was also released, which included the most popular hits from the past work of the hero of our article and fresh musical compositions.
