The fortress of a Muslim is an appeal to Allah with prayers. Dhikrs read in the morning and in the evening from the book "Muslim's Fortress"

A heart. From time immemorial, it was considered the receptacle of human feelings. Love and hate, sincerity and hypocrisy, softness and callousness, faith and disbelief - all this was associated with the heart.

The heart was compared to a vessel, the contents of which determined the behavior of its owner. The state of the heart determined its contents, which was reflected in a person's behavior. Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Indeed, there is a piece of flesh in the body, which, being good, makes the whole body good, and when it becomes worthless, it spoils the whole body, and, verily, this is the heart.”

From the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, we know that when a person commits one sin, a black dot appears on the heart. The more sins, the more it becomes black and callous, which leads to the fact that it becomes unable to perceive the truth. It is also reflected in human affairs.

Therefore, there is a need for constant purification of the heart. As the scholar al-Hasan al-Basri said to one person: "Take care of your heart, for Allah only needs from a slave that their hearts be righteous."

We know about the method of treating and cleansing the heart from mental illnesses from the words of righteous ancestors, and it consists in the remembrance of Allah - dhikr. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said that the hearts of people become callous and they must be cleansed by the remembrance of Allah.

Unfortunately, recently Muslims pay little attention to this type of worship, although dhikr is the command of Allah to his slaves, and the Prophet said: “Verily, this world is cursed and all that is in it is cursed, except for the remembrance of Allah Almighty, and what is close to this and the one who knows and learns!”.

Allah Almighty said: “So remember me, and I will remember you, thank Me and do not show ingratitude towards me” (Quran. 2:152)

Allah Almighty also said: “O you who believe, remember Allah often”(Quran. 33:41)

Allah Almighty also said: “Indeed, for Muslims and Muslim women ... who often remember Allah, ... Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward” (Quran. 33:35)

“Remember in your soul your Lord in the morning and in the evening humbly, with fear and not aloud, and do not be one of the negligent” (Quran. 7:205)

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, spoke about the importance of frequent remembrance of Allah and praise of Him, comparing a person who does not remember Allah with a dead man: "The man who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember his Lord are like the living and the dead."

In another hadith cited by at-Tirmidhi, the Prophet Muhammad called the remembrance of Allah the best and most pure of deeds before Allah, thanks to which the believer rises to the highest degree, and it is better than alms and even better than fighting enemies.

Dhikr is the cause of forgiveness of sins. Almighty Allah even has special angels who spend the whole day looking for gatherings of believers where the name of Allah is commemorated.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “Indeed, Allah has angels who go around the roads in search of those busy with remembrance, and when they find people who remember Allah, they turn to each other (with the words): “Go to what you are looking for.” And they surround (such people) with their wings (filling all space with themselves) to the lowest heaven, (and when people finish remembering Allah and the angels ascend up,) their Lord, who knows (about everything) better (the angels), asks them: “What do my servants say?” (The angels) answer: "They glorify Thee, exalt Thee, give Thee praise, and exalt Thee." Then (Allah) asks: “Have they seen Me?” (The angels) answer: “No, by Allah, they did not see You!” (Then Allah) asks: “What if they saw Me?” (The angels) answer: “If they saw You, they would worship You even more earnestly, exalt and praise You more and glorify You more often.” (Then Allah) asks: “And what do they ask Me for?” (The angels) answer: "They ask You for paradise." (Allah) asks: “Did they see him?” (The angels) answer: “No, by Allah, O my Lord, they did not see him!” (Allah) asks: “What if they saw him?” (The angels) answer: "If they saw him, they would seek him even more, and would strive for him even more stubbornly, and would desire him even more." (Allah) asks: “And from what do they ask for protection?” (Angels) answer: "From the flame (hell)". (Allah) asks: “Did they see him?” (The angels) answer: “No, by Allah, O my Lord, they did not see him!” (Allah) asks: “What if they saw him?” (The angels) answer: “If they saw him, they would try even more to escape from him and would fear him even more.” (Then) Allah says: “I call you to witness that I have forgiven them!” And one of the angels says: “There is such and such among them who does not belong to them, for he came only out of his own need.” (Then Allah) says: “They are (such people) thanks to whom their companion will not fall into distress!”

For a believer who understands the greatness of his Lord, acquaintance with the following hadith will be sufficient to constantly remember the name of Allah.

Allah Almighty says: “I (will be) as My servant thinks I am and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, then I will remember him to Myself, and if he remembers Me in the company (of other people), then I will remember him among those who are better (them) (i.e. among the angels).

Allah Himself will mention the name of His slave... When the Messenger of Allah informed some of his companions that Allah had mentioned their name, some of them lost consciousness from overwhelming feelings...

And how can a person not remember and praise the name of his Lord, if absolutely all His creations are engaged in this, from plants to angels. “Have you not seen that Allah is glorified by those who are in the heavens and on the earth, and also by the birds with outstretched wings? Everyone knows his prayer and his doxology. Allah knows what they do” (Quran 24:41).

There are angels who, from the day of their creation, are in a bow from the waist, and those who are in a bow to the ground. And until the end of this world, they will be in this position praising Allah, and even after that they will say: “O Lord, we have not praised You in a worthy way.”

Indeed, Allah does not need our worship or the remembrance of His name. All this is necessary for us, his slaves. After all, how often our hearts are distracted from the true meaning of existence. Even the Messenger of Allah said: “Verily, it happens that my heart is distracted, and verily, I ask Allah for forgiveness a hundred times a day.”

It is also narrated that, turning to Allah with his prayers, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, often said: "O Allah, indeed, I beseech You to make my heart sound."

In that case, what to say about us?!

Frequent remembrance of Allah is a guaranteed and constant connection with Allah. It sets in order the intentions and deeds of believers. This is especially true for those who call people to Islam. After all, it may happen that in the impulse of the call, explaining to people, for example, about the rights of women in Islam, about the benefits of the hijab or social justice in Islam and other things, the caller may forget why he is doing all this. After all, the call is not made for the sake of the call itself. Frequent remembrance of Allah will not let us forget that all our worship, our life and death are all for the sake of Allah the Great.

There are several main types of remembrance of Allah that should be followed.

1. Frequent reading of the Quran.

Allah Himself characterizes His revelation as remembrance - dhikr.

"But this (Quran) is nothing but a Reminder for the worlds"(Quran. 68:52).

“Will We turn the Reminder (Quran) away from you because you are people who transgress the boundaries of what is permitted?” (Quran. 43:5).

The Qur'an is the best form of remembrance of Allah, because it is His speech. Reading the Koran, a person remembers his Lord, His commands, his heart is filled with awe of God, and thus he puts his life in order. Moreover, for reading each letter from the Qur'an, the believer is entitled to a reward from Allah, as stated in the hadith.

2. Performing prayers.

The Messenger of Allah said: “Namaz consists of words of praise and exaltation of Allah and recitation of the Qur'an…”

3. Reading azkars after prayer.

The Prophet constantly remembered Allah after every prayer, praising Him. He also taught this to his companions. For example, it was narrated from the words of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “To the one who, at the end of each prayer, will say the words “Glory to Allah” thirty-three times, and the words “Praise be to Allah”, and the words “Allah is Great”, for the hundredth time saying: “There is no god but Allah alone, in Whom there is no partner, dominion belongs to Him, and praise be to Him, and He can do everything! ”, - his sins will be forgiven, even if they are like the foam of the sea.

4. Remembrance of Allah in everyday life, in various life situations.

The believer must constantly keep in touch with God, asking His blessings before every deed. From the first days of his life until the end of his life, every day, every business, a Muslim begins with the name of Allah. Waking up and going to bed, before and after meals, leaving the house and returning back to his family - a believer spends his whole life remembering Allah and asking for help from Him.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The one who says a hundred times a day:“ There is no god but Allah alone, Who has no partner, He owns the power, praise is His and He can do everything -hu-l-mulku, wa la-hu-l-hamdu wa huva "ala kulli shay" in kadirun), (will receive) the same (reward, which is due) for the release of ten slaves, and a hundred good deeds, and his hundred bad deeds will be erased, and they will serve him as protection from the shaitan for that day until the evening, and no one can do anything better than what he did, except (such) a person who will do more more".

There are other formulas for the remembrance of Allah that are applicable in various cases and can be found in the relevant books.

P.S.

“And if Satan incites you, then resort to the protection of Allah, for He is Hearing, Knowing. Indeed, if the God-fearing people are touched by the delusion from Satan, then they remember the edification and receive their sight ”(Quran. 7: 200-201)

“On that day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say: “It would be better if I followed the path of the Messenger! Woe to me! It would be better if I did not take such and such a friend! It was he who turned me away from the Reminder (Quran) after it had reached me." Indeed, Satan leaves a person without support ”(Quran. 25: 27-29)

All about religion and faith - "Muslim fortress prayer istikhara" with a detailed description and photographs.

Istikhara(Arabic - “search for the good in deed”) is a voluntary prayer, consisting of two rak'ahs, the purpose of which is to seek the guidance of Allah. Indicated when there is a problem with no obvious solution. Scholars are unanimous in their opinion that the Istikhara prayer is Sunnah.

The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “When one of you wants to do something, then let him make an additional prayer of two rak’ats, and then say: “O Allah, truly I ask You to help me with Your knowledge and strengthen me with Your power, and I ask You out of Your great mercy, for truly You know, but I do not know, because You are the Knower of the hidden. O Allah, if You know that this matter will be good for me in my religion and for my life, and for the outcome of my affairs (or for this life and the Hereafter), then predestinate it for me and make it easy, and then make it blessed for me . And if You know that this matter will turn out to be evil for my religion, my life and for the outcome of my affairs (or for this life and the future), then take it away from me and take me away from it, and predestinate good for me, wherever it is it, and then make me happy with it.” And he said: “And let him point out his work” (Bukhari No. 1166).

There is no istikhara prayer time frame, but the last third of the night before reading the Witr prayer is still desirable and preferable. Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Make witr with your last prayer at night” (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

If a ban on prayer (for example, menstruation) separates from prayer, then you should wait until the reason for the ban passes, but if the answer is needed urgently and the matter is urgent, then you should ask for help (istikhara) by reading the dua, but not performing prayer.

Allah Almighty said: “... Forgive them, ask for forgiveness for them and consult with them about matters. When you decide, then put your trust in Allah, for Allah loves those who trust” (Surah 3 “The Family of Imran”, verse 159). Despite the fact that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was the most knowledgeable among people, he consulted with his companions in difficult matters. Also, his righteous caliphs held advice with people who had knowledge and piety.

Scholars have different opinions about what is the priority: to consult or perform the Istikhara prayer. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) stated in his commentary on the book Gardens of the Righteous that Istikhara must first be done, according to the words of the Prophet. Then, after performing Istikhara thrice if it was not revealed what to do, one should consult with the believers and follow the advice received. Advice can be sought from a person who is competent in business and pious in religion. Istikhara is done three times, because this was the custom of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: he repeated the dua three times.

How to perform istikhara prayer?

1) perform ablution for prayer

2) make an intention for the istihara prayer before starting it

3) perform two rak'ats. It is sunnah to read Surah Kafirun in the first rak'ah after Fatiha, and Surah Ikhlyas in the second after Al-Fatih.

4) at the end of the prayer, say salam

5) after salam, raise your hands with humility to Allah, realizing His greatness and power, concentrate on dua

6) at the beginning of the dua, say the words of praise and exaltation of Allah, then say salawat to the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and Ibrahim, peace be upon him

7) read dua-istikhara without changing the text. In prayer, indicate your business (after saying the words "... if You know that this is a matter", you need to name your problem. For example: "... if You know that this is a matter (entering a university, etc.). If you do not learned the dua by heart, you can read it from the sheet, but it would be better to learn

9) strive for your goal, implement what you want and be consistent in this. If after reading the prayer the situation has not cleared up, you can repeat the istikhara.

After asking for advice, the Almighty "inspires" the Muslim, instructing him on the righteous path. You must listen to your heart and make the right choice. If the first time you did not manage to see the signs, then you should continue reading this prayer. There is a hadith narrated by Ibn al-Sunni, which says that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “If you are worried about any issue, perform istikharah, praying to your Lord, then see what first sensation arose in your heart. If after this dua the heart is inclined to do what caused the istikhara, then doing this will be better; if the heart is not inclined, then this matter is postponed. If the heart is not inclined to anything, then repeat more than seven times.

It is considered a good sign for everyone if Allah facilitated the completion of a certain deed and the problem was solved easily. If there are obstacles on the way, Allah shows you that it is not necessary to do it. In both cases, you should be satisfied, because by performing istikhara, you are relying on the Almighty and asking Him to choose what is best for you. It is possible that the most correct solution is that which is contrary to your desires. Having made istikhara, you need to rely on the Almighty and not be led by your passions.

“Perhaps you dislike what is good for you. And perhaps you love what is evil for you. Allah knows and you don't know

Holy Koran. Sura 2 "Al-Baqarah" / "The Cow", verse 216

Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah Almighty be pleased with him and his father, said: “A person can ask for help (by making istikhara) from Allah and He will show him the choice. But he is angry with his Lord and does not wait for what will be the outcome. In any case, it is already inscribed for him.

The Musnad contains a hadith from Said ibn Abu Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The happiness of the son of Adam is the possibility of asking for help (istikhara). The happiness of the son of Adam is contentment with his predestination from Allah. The misfortune of the son of Adam is the abandonment of istikhara. The misfortune of the son of Adam is anger at the decree of Allah."

Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “Whoever believes in predestination, two things are enough for him: istikhara before him and contentment after.”

An invaluable dua for making the right decision

For those who intend to do something, but doubt, do not know where it will lead, what the end will be and whether it is worth starting at all, the Prophet (ﷺ) advised to do namaz-istikhara. The word "istikhara" means "choosing the right decision (option)".

This prayer consists of two rak'ahs. The intention is pronounced like this: I intend to perform the two-rakah prayer-istikhara ". In the first rak'ah after the sura " Al Fatiha » read the surah « Al Kafirun ", in the second -" Ikhlas ". Whoever is able - in the first rak'ah before the surah "Al-Kafirun" can also read the ayat " Wa rabbuna yahluku. ” to the end, and in the second before “Ikhlas” - ayat “ Wa ma kana limu'min." to end. It's better, and the reward for it will be greater. But if you don't know, you can't read them.

Then, as the Prophet (ﷺ) taught, either in the sujd (prostration) of the last rak'ah, or after reading "At-tahiyyatu", before or after "Salam" they read the dua:

« Allahumma innú astahiruka bi'ilmika va astakdiruka bikudratika va asaluka min fazlika-l-'azum(i), fa innaka tikdiru wa lá akdiru wa ta'lamu wa lá a'lamu wa anta 'allamul guyub(i), Allahumma in kunta ta 'lamu anna hazal amra (this is what you intend to do) khairun lú fú dúnú va ma'ashú va 'ákibati amrú va 'ájilihú va ájilihú fakdurhu lú va yassirhu lú sum barik lú fúh(i), wa in kunta ta' lamu anna khazal amra (intention is also mentioned here) sharrun lú fú dúnú wa ma'áshú va 'ákibati amrú va 'ájilihú va ájilihú fásrifhu 'anna vasrifnu 'anhu vakdur li khair haysu kána sum ardinú bih(ú) ».

« O my Allah, I ask You to choose the best by Your knowledge, I ask for strength from You through Your might, verily You can and I cannot, You know and I do not know. O my Allah, verily, my deed, intention (here it is mentioned what you intend to do), if it is useful for me, my religion, for worldly affairs, for the fulfillment of my future and present plans, then make it a destiny for me and send down to me grace (barakat) in this matter and make it easier for me to complete it. And if this matter (here also what you intend to do is mentioned) is harmful to me and my religion, to my worldly affairs, to my plans, future or present, turn it away from me and bring closer what is better, wherever it is. was, and satisfy me with this».

This dua is given in a hadith narrated by Bukhari, Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi and others.

It is sunnah to give praise to Allah Almighty and the blessing of the Prophet (ﷺ) at the beginning and at the end of this dua.

If after that your heart is inclined to do what you have planned, do it, in it you will find a blessing (barakat). If at the same time you did not want to do this, do not do it, this will also be barakat. If at the same time your heart did not bow to one or the other decision, perform prayer and read the dua again. Ithaf says that it is better to repeat this prayer seven times. If even after repeated prayers-istikharah doubts are not resolved, then it is better to postpone what was planned, and if there is no way to postpone, then do it at your discretion, relying on Allah Almighty.

If, entering any prayer, whether it is obligatory or optional, you have the intention at the same time for the istikhara prayer, then this prayer includes the istikhara prayer, and after this prayer, the dua of istikhara is read.

Imam an-Nawawi says that if, after any prayer, the dua istikharaa is read, then the istikhara prayer, as a sunnah, is also considered fulfilled. If it is not possible to perform namaz, then you can only read this prayer, and this is also istikhara.

Imam al-Nawawi also said: “He who performs istikhara should not proceed to it, inclining in advance to one of the decisions. He must be sure that everything is in the will of Allah Almighty, and he must proceed to istikharah with the hope that Allah Almighty will help him choose the right decision. One should stand before Almighty Allah with reverence, expressing a request and one's need in Him. To perform the hajj, umrah, ghazawat and other acts that Sharia obliges Muslims to do, istikhara is not done. But you can do istikhara to determine the time of their commission, if this deed can be performed later.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Appealing to Almighty Allah with a request to choose the right decision is from happiness for a person ". (Hadith reported by Ahmad, Abu Ya'la and Hakim)

Even in the hadith cited by Tabarani, it says: “Whoever makes istikhara will not remain unanswered; whoever consults will not grieve.”

Al-Bukhari reports from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): “ Messenger of Allah ﷺ) taught us istikhara in the same way as he taught us to read surahs from the Koran ».

Muhyiddin Arabi says: It is better for those close to Almighty Allah to set aside a certain time in the day for performing namaz-istikhara". There he writes how to read a prayer. ("Ithaf", 3/775)

What is Istikhara prayer

In the course of life, everyone more than once encounters “difficulties” when a person does not know how to act in a given situation. Has doubts about making decisions, wonders if it would be “good” to commit this act. When we need to turn to the Almighty, and ask Him for help, wanting to get an answer to our question. We seek the help of Allah when we start doing things like marrying someone, buying a house or a car, looking for a job, going on a trip, and so on. At such important and doubtful moments, every Muslim is prescribed to perform the prayer of Istikhara.

In the Arabic translation of Istikhara - the search for good, choice in business. The choice between two deeds, who needs to make one of the correct decisions preferred by Allah. They say: "Ask for help from Allah and He will give you a choice."

Who and when to pray Istikhara?

The performance of Istikhara is desirable for those who wish to perform any specific action. If a Muslim hesitates in choosing between several solutions, the prayer, after listening carefully and weighing the advice of the “experienced”, stops at one thing and performs the Istikhara prayer. After prayer, with a calm soul, he follows the intended goal. And if the matter is good, as the Great Allah wills, he will undoubtedly facilitate it or eliminate this matter. The one who has read Istikhara will not repent or doubt the result, the outcome of his case. In any case, whichever of the options is not realized - it will be good. Well, if it turned out as you wanted, and good in another, if it didn’t work out.

The Istikhara prayer has no “time frame”, it can be performed anytime and anywhere (except for places that are not allowed to pronounce the name of Allah and are not allowed for prayer times). But the last third of the night is still desirable and preferable. It is also better to read it before reading the witr prayer in accordance with the words of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, transmitted from Abdullah the son of Umar, may Allah be pleased with them:

اجعلوا آخر صلاتكم بالليل وتراً - “Make Witr your last prayer at night” (hadith cited by al-Bukhari and Muslim).

How to pray Istikhara?

When you are going to do something, and sincerely want Allah to show you the right decision, then for this you must first perform ablution (wudu) and an additional prayer of 2 rak'ahs. After the prayer, a special Prayer (Istikhara) should be read.

It is reported that Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: - The Messenger of Allah, (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam), taught us that one should ask for help in all matters, just as he taught us one or another sura from Qur'an, and said: “If one of you wants to do something, let him make an additional prayer of two rak'ahs, and then say:

“Allahumma, inni astahiru-kya bi-'ilmi-kya wa astakdirukya bi-kudrati-kya wa as'alu-kya min fadli-kya-l-'azimi fa-inna-kya takdiru wa la akdiru, wa ta'lamu wa la a'lamu, wa anta 'allamu-l-guyubi! Allahumma, in kunta ta’lamu anna haza-l-amra khairun li fi dini, wa ma’ashi wa ‘akibati amri, fakdur-hu li wa yassir-hu li, the sum of barik li fi-hi; wa in kunta ta'lamu anna haza-l-amra sharrun li fi dini, wa ma'ashi wa 'akibati amri, fa-srif-hu 'an-ni wa-srif-ni 'an-hu wa-kdur liya-l -haira haysu kyana, the sum of ardi-ni bi-hi.”

The general meaning of this prayer is: “O Allah, I ask You to help me with Your knowledge and Your power and I ask You to show me great mercy, for You can, but I cannot, You know, but I do not know, and You know everything about hidden! O Allah, if You know that this deed (and a person should be told what he intends to do) will be good for my religion, for my life and for the outcome of my affairs (or sooner or later), then predestinate it to me, facilitate it for me, and then give me Your blessing on it; but if You know that this matter will be harmful to my religion, to my life and to the outcome of my affairs, then take it away from me, and take me away from it and judge good for me, wherever it is, and then lead me to their satisfaction."

None of those who asked for help from the Creator, and then consulted with the believers created by Him, showing prudence in their affairs, did not experience regrets, for Allah Almighty said: – “. And consult with them about matters, and having decided on something, put your trust in Allah ”(“ The Family of Imran, 159.)

How many times to pray Istikhara?

Before each important deed, it is enough for Istikhara to do it once.

After asking for advice, the Almighty "inspires" the Muslim, instructing him on the righteous path. The one who prays must listen to his heart and make the right choice. If the first time he did not manage to see the "signs", then "a person should continue reading this prayer until he feels something." And There is a hadith narrated by Ibn al-Sunni which states that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If you are concerned about any issue, perform Istikhara, praying to your Lord, then see what first sensation arose in your heart. If after this dua the heart is inclined to do what caused the istikhara, then doing this will be better; if the heart is not inclined, then this matter is postponed. If the heart is not inclined to anything, then repeat more than seven times. ».

Some scholars advised repeating prayer until it is “opened” which of the two cases is the best.

The one who does Istikhara does not go astray!

Dear brothers and sisters, after we have entrusted ourselves to the Almighty, turned to him with a need, having read the Istikhara prayer and du’a, it remains for us to do what our heart lies to. It is considered good for each of us and a good “sign” if Allah facilitated the completion of a certain matter, the problem was solved - easily and naturally. And on the contrary, the existence of obstacles on the way is a sign of removal from unrighteous deeds, deeds. Thus, Allah shows us that this should not be done, it cannot be done. In both cases, we must be satisfied, because by performing Istikhara, we give the Almighty to choose for us what is best. Even if at that moment it seems to us that this is not so. May Allah always protect us and lead us on the path of good and good!

Detailed Desirable Procedure for Prayer of Istikhara

1) Perform ablution for prayer.

2) It is necessary to make intentions for the Istikhara prayer before starting it.

3) Perform two rak'ats. It is sunnah to read Surah Kafirun in the first rak'ah after Fatiha, and Surah Ikhlyas in the second after Al-Fatih.

4) At the end of the prayer, say salam.

5) After salam, raise your hands with humility to Allah, realizing His greatness and power, concentrate on du'a.

6) At the beginning of the du’a, say words of praise and exaltation to Allah, then say salawat to the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. It will be better if you say salavat to Ibrahim, peace be upon him, as it is pronounced in tashahhud:

« Allahumma sally ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin, kyama sallaita ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘ala ali Ibrahim. Wa barik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin, kyama barakta ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘ala ali Ibrahim. Fil ‘alamin innakya Hamidu-m-Majid! or any other learned form.

7) Then read dua-istikhara: “ O Allah, truly I ask You to help me with Your knowledge, and strengthen me with Your might.…" to end.

8) After pronouncing the words "... if you know what it is”, you need to name your goal. For example: “... if You know that this is a matter (my trip to such and such a country or buying a car or marrying the daughter of such and such, etc.) - then complete the du’a with the words “... that this matter will be good for my religion, for my life and for the outcome of my affairs (or he said: for this life and the next)". These words are repeated twice - where it is said about a good and bad outcome: "... And if You know that this matter will turn out to be evil for my religion, my life and for the outcome of my affairs (or he said: for this life and the next) …»

10) This completes the Istikhara prayer, the outcome of the case remains with Allah, and for the person - hope in Him. It is worth striving for your goal yourself and discarding all dreams and everything that oppresses and overcomes. You should not be distracted by all this. It is necessary to aspire to the last in which he saw good.

Rules for praying Istikhara

1) Accustom yourself to istikharah in every matter, no matter how insignificant it may be.

2) Learn that Allah Almighty will guide you to what will be better. Be sure of this while making du’a and meditating on it, and understand this great thought.

3) Not valid istikhara read after the ratibats of obligatory (fard) prayers. On the contrary, it is necessary that these be two separate rak'ats, read specifically for istikhara.

4) If you want to make istikhara after voluntary ratibats, spirit prayers or other navafil prayers, then this is permissible, but on the condition that the intention is made before entering the prayer. But if you started the prayer, and did not make the intention for istikhara, then this is not right.

5) If you need to make istikhara at a time forbidden for prayer, then be patient until this time passes. And if the matter can be completed before the forbidden time ends, then pray at this time and ask for help (istikhara).

6) If you are separated from prayer by a prohibition on prayer (for example, menstruation in women), then you should wait until the reason for the prohibition passes. And if the matter can be completed before the forbidden time ends, and the matter cannot be delayed, then one should ask for help (istikhara) only after reading the du’a without performing prayer.

7) If you have not memorized du'a-istikhara, then you can read it from a sheet. But it's better to learn.

9) If you asked for help (istikhara), then do what you want and be consistent in this.

10) If the situation has not cleared up for you, then you can repeat istikhara.

11) Do not add anything to the du'a-istikhara and do not take anything away from it. Respect the boundaries of the text.

12) Do not let your passions control you in what you choose. It is possible that the most correct decision is that which is contrary to your desire (as, for example, in marrying the daughter of such and such, or buying a car you like, etc.). Moreover, a person who has committed istikharah needs to leave his personal choice. Otherwise, what is the point of seeking help from Allah? He will not be completely sincere in his conversion (du'a).

13) Do not forget to consult knowledgeable and pious people. Combine your istikhara and consultation.

14) Does not ask for help (istikhara) one after another. However, it is very possible when a mother cries out to Allah for her son or daughter so that Allah chooses good for them - at any time and in any prayer, in two provisions:

the first - in prostration, the second - after tashahhud, salawat for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him in the form of salawat for Ibrahim, peace be upon him.

15) If there is doubt about whether there was an intention for istikhara and after the prayer had already begun, it became clear that there was no intention, and he was already in prayer, then an intention is made for a common prayer. And then, a separate prayer for istikhara is performed.

16) If there are many deeds, is it lawful to perform one prayer for all deeds or for each deed its own istikharah? It is more correct and better to make a separate istikhara for each case. But if you combine them, then there will be nothing wrong with that.

17) There is no istikharah in undesirable deeds, not to mention forbidden ones.

18) It is forbidden to make istikharah on the rosary or the Qur'an (as the Shiites do), may Allah guide them. Istikhara is done only in the permitted way - prayer and du'a.

The most detailed description: Muslim fortress prayer - for our readers and subscribers.

On November 8, 2016, the famous Federal List of Extremist Materials was replenished with the next edition of the book by Said bin Ali bin Wahf al-Qahtani “The Muslim Fortress. Appeals to Allah with prayers. Treatment with the help of conspiracies found in the Koran and the Sunnah ”(Translated from Arabic. A. Nirsha; decree. K. Kuznetsov - 3rd ed., stereotype. - M .: Umma, 2011. - 416 p. Publisher LLC Ezhaev A.K.”).

This time the book was banned by the Sovetsky District Court of Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia. Thus, the total list of prohibited materials today contains 3897 items.

Let us recall that the Federal List of Extremist Materials is formed on the basis of copies of court decisions that have entered into legal force on recognizing informational materials as extremist, received by the Russian Ministry of Justice. Books go to court at the place of their discovery or distribution during the proceedings on the relevant case of an administrative offense, civil or criminal case.

As you know, the first book that was included in the list of extremist materials was the "Book of Monotheism" by Muhammad ibn Suleiman at-Tamimi, published by the Badr publishing house. The decision to ban it was issued in April 2004 by the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow. Since then, materials on Islamic subjects, along with pagan, nationalist, anti-Semitic and other literature, began to regularly replenish the List. These are newspapers, brochures, magazines, articles from electronic sources, books and leaflets.

The most high-profile case on the ban on religious literature was the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of the city of Novorossiysk dated September 17, 2013, declaring the translation of the meanings of the Koran by Elmir Kuliyev, published in 2002, as extremist. The forensic center of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory found in the book “statements that talk about the advantage of one person or group of people over other people on the basis of their attitude to religion, in particular, Muslims over non-Muslims.”

Then the Council of Muftis of Russia issued a statement that Russian Muslims were outraged by the decision of the court, calling this decision "reckless" and "blasphemous." Two months later, the Krasnodar Regional Court overturned the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Novorossiysk. The decision was seen by Muslims as "a triumph of justice and reason".

Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin expressed the hope that "in the future, similar unlawful bans on religious literature will be lifted." However, this did not happen.

The Muslim Fortress, a collection of daily prayers known to many Muslims, has repeatedly been placed on the list of extremist materials. It first got into it in March 2012, when, among 68 Muslim books, it was recognized as extremist material by the Leninsky District Court of Orenburg. The trial proceeded with obvious violations: the interested parties, in particular the authors and publishers of books, were not informed, and the decision itself was made on the basis of dubious expertise.

Three years later, in February 2015, by the decision of the Orenburg Regional Court, 50 Islamic publications were “justified”, and the judge was issued a private ruling for gross violation of the rules of procedural law. By the way, in addition to the “Muslim Fortress”, such publications as the collection of hadiths of Imam an-Nawawi “Gardens of the Righteous”, the work of Abu Hamid al-Ghazali “The Scale of Deeds”, “40 hadiths of Imam an-Nawawi”, “On the way to the Quran" by Elmira Kulieva, "The Way to Faith and Perfection" by Shamil Alyautdinov and other works.

However, at the same time, in February 2015, the Kurgan City Court recognized as extremist the stereotypical publications of the Muslim Fortress, published by the Umma publishing house in 2006, 2009 and 2010. In addition, the book “The Fortress of a Muslim” was recognized as extremist material by the Ussuriysk District Court of Primorsky Krai in July 2014.

“Despite the fact that the “Muslim Fortress” does not contain, from our point of view, any signs of extremism, it regularly becomes a pretext for persecuting Muslims for distributing extremist materials under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses,” the publishing house notes.

Asked by Ansar.Ru to comment on the situation, Aslambek Ezhaev, the publisher of the book “The Fortress of the Muslim,” replied: “What is there to comment on? Nothing new". He does not intend to challenge the court's decision, since, according to him, a similar decision "may appear somewhere in the Crimea or Taimyr at any moment."

Muftis of Russia, the Muslim public and human rights activists have repeatedly appealed to the authorities with a request to "stop the shameful practice of banning traditional Muslim religious literature and change the absurd procedure for considering such cases in courts." But the courts are in no hurry to invite professional religious scholars and scholars as experts on religious literature, resorting to the “help” of dubious specialists. Literature is judged without regard to the religious and historical context.

Human rights activists note that such bans grossly violate the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the norms of international law on freedom of conscience and religion. Such decisions clearly discredit the Russian judicial system and deprive Muslims of hope for a fair trial.

There is one move that came to mind a month ago. It is necessary in any book and at least a couple of pages, you need to print parts from the Holy Quran. Since it was forbidden to ban the Koran and I think that these books will not be banned and it will be easy to sue

Take any forbidden Islamic literature and you will find in it much more from the Koran than a couple of pages. But it's still banned. As long as it's not disputed. As soon as they dispute, the conclusions of the servicemen yksperdoff, woven from patches of Islamophobia, begin to burst at all seams. So everything needs to be challenged. It is possible that somewhere in something, perhaps, we will lose. At the very least, these servicemen will feel that their meager level is not expert at all.

Muslim fortress

On the benefits of saying the words "Glory be to Allah", "Praise be to Allah", "There is no god but Allah" and "Allah is great"

It is reported that when someone converted to Islam, the prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, first taught him how to pray, and then ordered him to turn to Allah with such a prayer: “O Allah, forgive me and have mercy me, and lead me to the right path, and deliver me, and grant me a livelihood!”

Tashahhud words

Greetings to Allah, prayers and best words; peace be upon you, O prophet, the mercy of Allah and His blessings, peace be upon us and the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger.

O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, lead me to the right path, help me, deliver me, grant me livelihood and exalt me.

Appeal to Allah with prayers between two prostrations

My Lord, forgive me, my Lord, forgive me.

Words of remembrance of Allah, which are pronounced during the bow to the ground / du‘a as-sujud /

O Allah, verily, I seek refuge in Your favor from Your wrath, and (I resort) to Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and seek refuge in Your protection from You! It is not possible for me to list (all) praises to You, (which) You are (worthy), as You Yourself (did it), giving them to Yourself.

The fortress of a Muslim is the secret of “extremism”

  • May 9, 2010 at 1:38 AM

The concept of a fortress.

The crusader fortresses had very few garrisons - after all, the crusaders were always outnumbered and constantly under siege - and to compensate for this lack of fortification of their castles had to be much more complex and multi-stage [*].

From this passage, the essence of the concept of fortress is clearly visible. As for a person who is on the path of intellectual and spiritual enlightenment, he is constantly in the minority and is forced to defend himself in the face of numerous dangers. When he is poor, he has to fight for food; when he is rich, with laziness; when he is weak, he has to endure humiliation; when he is strong, he has to fight the temptation to oppress others. And a million other temptations.

It is useless for a slave who handed himself over to the Devil, passion and the dark half of his soul, to call on someone for help.

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

What's inside the "extremist" book?

The much-hyped "Muslim's Fortress of the Words of Remembrance of Allah found in the Qur'an and Sunnah" is about the size of an average pocket notebook, and about the same price. It contains the prayers of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s.), grouped according to the themes of various life situations and taken from the Most Pure Sunnah (after each phrase there are links to collections of hadiths). Its title is something like this:

O Allah, do not charge me for what they say, and forgive me what they do not know, and make me better than they think!

The one who says this prayer reminds himself of his shortcomings, which others may not know, thereby protecting himself from the temptation to fall into arrogance. But at the same time, prayer does not humiliate a person, but rather calls for self-improvement.

May Allah bless your family and your wealth! Verily, the reward for a loan is praise and return of the debt!

These words also remind you that there can be no interest on a loan. Allah has forbidden usury.

Verily, those who recite the Book of Allah, pray and spend from what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a deal that will not be unsuccessful. (Quran 35:29).

The remembrance of Allah from the Quran and the Sunnah, tied to all life situations, is our fortress, which moves everywhere with us, reminding us what's what in this life, so that we don't get distracted and get lost.

Examination for extremism

Representatives of "traditional" Islam have long listed this book in the category of "Wahhabi". Why? – is not exactly clear. But I have some guesses.

Words of prayer for the one who put on new clothes:

"Ilbis jadidan wa ‘ish hamidan va mut shahidan."

I think comments on this prayer are unnecessary. Nobody wants to wear rags, live unworthily and die like a dog. And sincerely believing people, of course, dream of dying for their faith, in the most worthy way.

Conclusion

Praise be to Allah, as far as I know, the detained books were returned to their owners after examination. And the Dagestan "soupists" become more and more enlightened, they begin to grow beards, and they put headscarves on their wives, you see, and they will begin to read "The Muslim Fortress". Not immediately, of course, we all understand that this takes time. May Allah help.

By the way, there is a whole site where all the prayers from the "Fortress" with audio accompaniment are collected.

You can also download the book from islamhouse.com

Tags (abstracts):

in general, of course, I didn’t simply take the word “soupists” in quotation marks. By them, I mean the Jahil, who pretend to be Sufis and put pressure on everyone with their biomass.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah does not accept repentance from a follower of innovations until he leaves these innovations.” at-Tabarani 4360, Abu ash-Sheikh 259, Ibn Abu ‘Asym 37. Hafiz al-Munziri and Sheikh al-Albani confirmed the authenticity of the hadith.

Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The most hateful deeds for Allah are innovations.” al-Bayhaqi in Sunanul-kubra 4/316.

I don't know where the people who consider themselves Sufis got this from. apparently follow the instructions of one of their ustads.

“I turned my face to the One who created the heavens and the earth, being a khanif (“Khanif” is a true believer in the one Allah, as in pre-Islamic Arabia they called people who adhered to monotheism, but did not adjoin either Christians or Jews), and I do not belong to polytheists, truly, my prayer, my worship, my life and my death belong to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, who has no partner; this was given to me, and I am from among the Muslims ”(“ Cattle ”, 162-163.)

The crusader fortresses had very few garrisons - after all, the crusaders were always outnumbered and constantly under siege - and to compensate for this lack of fortification of their castles had to be much more complex and multi-stage.

And a million other temptations...

It is useless for a slave who handed himself over to the Devil, passion and the dark half of his soul, to call on someone for help...

As the saying goes: “Fight the enemy, use these troops as you wish, fight, hold the line in one of these fortresses! Stay to death! Indeed, the end is near! The defense time is very short!

Then the Great King will send his messengers to you. They will take you to His mansions. And now you are resting from this war, you are far from the enemy; you enjoy in the abode of Generosity as you wish.

The enemy is imprisoned in the strictest prison, you see him where he wanted to put you. He is thrown there, all the passages are closed and he is doomed to stay there forever ... And you are in pleasure for your patience, in a short period, for holding the defense for an hour that flew by so quickly, and it was as if there were no trials. Unfortunately, the soul is too limited to notice the brevity of this time, its transience.

Think about the words of the Almighty: “On the day when they see what is promised, as if they had only stayed one hour of the day” (Sura “Sands”, 35 verses).

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“…I also order you to remember Allah! The rememberer is like a man who was pursued by enemies, and he hid from them in an impregnable castle, thus protecting himself from them. A slave is able to protect himself from the devil only with the help of the remembrance of Allah Almighty.

"The words of the remembrance of Allah when waking up from sleep, when putting on clothes, when leaving the house, at the sight of the first fruits; ... what should be said to the newlywed on the wedding night, the words of the prayer at the birth of a child; a prayer that protects children from the evil eye, .. .. what should be said when the dead are laid in the grave."

This small book, the result of the great work of the author, who has revised numerous volumes, shows the unsophisticated person how universal the religion of Islam is. Through this book we can look at life through the eyes of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.s. Evaluate what happened not based on your fleeting impressions: euphoria or depression, but based on the wise perception of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).

If you had a nightmare, I must say "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan" and roll over to the other side, and then do not tell anyone the contents of the dream. So he won't hurt us. And many, out of ignorance, tell all sorts of bad dreams, which then infect others with negativity. And they can actually bring evil in the end.

If you have been praised, you should say:

O Allah, do not charge me for what they say, and forgive me what they do not know, and make me better than they think!

The one who says this prayer reminds himself of his shortcomings, which others may not know, thereby protecting himself from the temptation to fall into arrogance. But at the same time, prayer does not humiliate a person, but rather calls for self-improvement.

There are also some "political" moments. For example, in a prayer for a lender when repaying a debt:

May Allah bless your family and your wealth! Verily, the reward for a loan is praise and return of the debt!

These words also remind you that there can be no interest on a loan. Allah has forbidden usury.

The most amazing thing is that prayers are universal in time. Sitting in a vehicle, it is advisable for a person to recite these verses from the Qur'an:

"Glory to the One who subdued this to us, because we cannot do this! Truly, we are returning to our Lord!" (Decorations: 13-14). Human muscles are very weak for long journeys, but Allah first subdued animals to us, and then - the energy of an internal combustion engine, etc. How clearly the words of the verse are chosen, so that they contain the whole essence of the phenomenon, without referring to specifics.

Inclusiveness is one of the hallmarks of Islam's success. After all, the breadth of the range is the basis of success in business. If any competitor has created an assortment wider than yours, this is an inevitable loss. If a person does not find something in religion, he turns to other sources. And over time, he ceases to turn to religion at all, because. its "range" is stingy, and there are many competitors around who are eager to be sources of ideas and inspiration. As for Islam, it covers all other ideologies with its "range".

Why? - not exactly clear. But I have some guesses.

Among the Dagestan representatives of "traditional" Islam (among the "supists"), I noticed such a habit, on all occasions of life, shouting loudly: "FAAAAAAATIHA". And then everyone who heard this - raise their palms to him and read the sura of the Koran "Al-Fatiha". A bunch of "supists" enter the mosque, some of them say "faaaaatiha" and raise their hands and others also. Pass by the cemetery - history repeats itself. They go into someone's house to read a prayer - history repeats itself. Mu'azzin ends the call to prayer - and history repeats itself.....

Well, I thought that maybe the radicalness of the "Muslim Fortress" for them lies in the table of contents itself: "prayer at the entrance to the mosque, when visiting the cemetery, at the entrance to the house, at the end of the azan, ...". The “supists” probably start to crack their brains because there are a lot of prayers, depending on the situation: “What a false slander on our ustaz!!! in all these cases, you need to say “faaaaatiha” and read alhamd.”

One brother also made the following suggestion: "Maybe this book is often found with murdered Mujahideen, and because of this they think that it is extremist."

And journalists recently once again struck with their love for "sensations". This time the title looked like this: “A truck full of extremist literature for future martyrs found in the west of Moscow”.

In fact, it was an ordinary truck heading to one of the regions of Russia, and in its back there were, among other things, boxes of books. (Yes, Muscovites, people from the provinces also sometimes read books, and therefore they have to be brought in, including by trucks from Moscow!)

Among the many books there was also "The Fortress of a Muslim", which "calls to become a martyr." Here's what that episode looks like in the book:

Words of prayer for the one who put on new clothes:

"Ilbis jadidan wa" ish hamidan va mut shahidan."

اِلبَـس جَديـداً وَعِـشْ حَمـيداً وَمُـتْ شهيداً

Translation: Wear the new, live with dignity, and die the death of a martyr for the faith.

I think comments on this prayer are unnecessary. Nobody wants to wear rags, live unworthily and die like a dog. And sincerely believing people, of course, dream of dying for their faith, in the most worthy way...

Conclusion

Praise be to Allah, as far as I know, the detained books were returned to their owners after examination. And the Dagestan "soupists" become more and more enlightened, they begin to grow beards, and they put headscarves on their wives, you see, and they will begin to read "The Muslim Fortress". Not immediately, of course, we all understand that this takes time... May Allah help us.
By the way, there is a whole site where all the prayers from the "Fortress" with audio accompaniment are collected.
