Nightingale mask made of paper. How I met the songful nightingales

A rather unusual and beautiful crow mask. It can be New Year's, carnival, besides, the crow mask is made in different ways. Some of them are suitable not only for children, but also for adults.

A beautiful and stylish crow mask is easy to make, but at the same time it will be a great accessory for the New Year or other holiday.

Feather variant

The carnival mask of a raven is far from being just the eyes and beak of a bird cut out of paper, here you can add the character, mannerisms of this feathered creature. Self-made masks differ from store-bought masks in that the soul is invested in them.

The question of how to make a crow mask should be answered: what should it be? After all, using feathers, convex elements in your work, you can make chic options. You can choose absolutely any color, it does not have to be predominantly black. The important thing is that such a thing is suitable for both a matinee and a Halloween party, especially if you want to create an image, as in the Crow and the Fox fable.

Process of creation:

  1. You need to take the paper that will form the basis of the product. It should be tight. A sheet of paper needs to be bent in half and create a mask template with scissors and a pencil. Such patterns can be found on the Internet, but it is easy to draw them yourself.
  2. Next, you need to draw holes for the eyes. Determine where the beak will be and draw a slit. It will need to be attached separately.
  3. Then the product is cut along the contour, as well as the intended holes inside. The distance between the eyes should be small. This can be done with children too.
  4. Feathers need to be cut out of cardboard. No need to be lazy, cut them out a little more, so the crow will be more beautiful.
  5. An elastic band is attached to the wrong side of the craft, with which it will stay on the face. For this, a simple sewing gum is suitable. For its fastening, you can use a stationery stapler.
  6. The beak is made of thick cardboard, bent in half.
  7. Leave a couple of centimeters in order to glue the beak to the mask itself.
  8. Glue the beak well to the base of the product.
  9. Let's start decorating. Feathers will appear voluminous if you bend the lines in the middle.
  10. A few small feathers will gently mask the area around the eyes.

In such a work of art, anyone will look like they have descended from the fable "The Crow and the Fox." The finished mask will serve as the basis of any image and will become its chic addition. With the help of an elastic band, it fits well on the head.

Other options

A carnival raven mask can be created not only from paper, it can also be made from foamiran with your own hands or from foam rubber.

Another way is to use fabric. To do this, a hat is sewn, preferably black. Any pattern will do. The main thing here is to use a smooth fabric that will shine like crow feathers. After that, you can use real pens or cut out paper. If the feathers are real, then with small stitches of black thread they cling to the fabric, paper feathers can be glued with glue. The beak, made of paper, is attached to the hat in the same way.

How to make a bird mask?

The article today will be very short, because the answer to this question can be fit in one sentence and a couple of pictures, because making a bird mask is very simple.

What do we really need? - Make a beak, think of a way to fix it on the face. You can do this with domino glasses, or you can use a half mask. I prefer the second option. Here is a universal pattern for the mask of any bird-bird. Basic, so to speak.

Pattern of a universal bird mask

For an adult, the width of the mask will be exactly the width of an A4 landscape sheet. We cut the tucks on the forehead, slightly wind it up and glue it. In real life, the beak of birds consists of the upper and lower parts (jaws), but we will only do the upper half, because the lower "jaw" would prevent the actor from breathing and speaking.

We cut out the beak (note that the flaps on the sides do not reach the bridge of the nose), bend along all the fold lines (try on without a mask, adjust) and, having put the flaps on the sides of the part inside the mask, paste:

Everything! This is a universal bird mask, based on which you can develop options for specific birds. For example, we already have, as well as.

One of these days I will write articles on the masks of an eagle, a cockerel and a parrot. If you need any other (exotic) mask... marabou, for example, then write in the comments, and I will definitely figure out how to make it.

And now, to prove to you that the mask model proposed here is indeed very versatile, I will turn it into a sparrow mask. Sparrow bird mask (not Jack))).

The sparrow has a brown beret on its head, a dark black-gray beak, and eyes outlined in black. The cheeks are white, and where there should be a blush - black spots. There is still a black beard, but - alas - it will have to be abandoned.

We take our universal mask and color it. Here - I reproduced the approximate distribution of color, and it obediently turned into a sparrow mask:

sparrow mask

Color the universal mask in yellow - there will be a canary.

Black beret and white cheeks - and it will be very:

In his youth, he collected various home-made electronic imitators of bird singing - canaries, nightingales. Long listening to these toys did not relax, but rather tired the ear. This was most likely due to poor and primitive imitation. Somehow, in search of the sound of crackling burning firewood, I found songs of a nightingale on the site. Recording is not very high quality, so on 4-. Here I remembered my attempts to build imitators. And what if we broadcast this recording in the forest, where the nightingales no longer sing. This idea was implemented in a summer cottage, where many years ago, in fact, a nightingale sang 25 meters from the fence.

Country electronic nightingale how to do it yourself

So that the nightingale does not sing uselessly all the time, we automate a little bit of this idea. The singing of the nightingale is required only at the moments of being near people and the cessation of singing after a while. Naturally, to implement this idea with your own hands, you should try to spend a minimum of money and time. An infrared motion sensor would be the most suitable as a human presence sensor. For the sound carrier, I decided to apply old cd player, which only accepted audio discs and had a massive 6 volt AC power supply and 0.4 ampere current. I think this is a worthy last life for a CD player. The disadvantage was the complete absence of an ULF amplifier (low frequency amplifier) for loud playback of a nightingale song. Of course, a simple CD radio would fit well here, but I didn’t have one at my disposal. The implementation of the idea looked like this:

  1. Mains voltage of 220 volts is supplied to the infrared sensor, which, in the presence of movement in the monitored area, supplies 220 volts to the player's power supply.
  2. The player's power supply, in turn, supplies voltage to the CD player and ULF.
  3. The CD player, when energized, plays the nightingale's song.
  4. ULF amplifies the sound signals of the CD player and outputs them to an external speaker system.

Assembling building blocks

1 . From a variety of sensors, I chose a sensor to control lighting. The design is powered by a 220 Volt network and has an electromagnetic relay inside to control the load. Such sensors have regulators for the duration of the load switching on after receiving a signal about movement in the controlled area and a switch-on permission regulator depending on the illumination. I used a compact volumetric sensor specifically designed to turn on garden lights.

Motion sensor Motion sensor Controls

2 . Naturally, the nightingale should sing in the bushes. There were thickets of bushes in the farthest corner of the site near the forest, and it was 12 meters to the nearest outlet. To reduce the length of the power cables, it was decided to combine the volumetric sensor and the power supply into one unit, and supply a voltage of 6 volts through a long cable. The assembly process of the block is shown in the photographs. A plastic electrical box is used as a housing. A sensor and a gland for the output of wires are screwed to the box. The power supply is removed from the case and connected using terminal blocks. There are also terminal blocks for connecting 220V and 6V cables.

Block assembly Glue the sensor

3 . The design of the applied motion sensor is designed to turn on the lighting in the dark. But the nightingales also sing in the daytime. We deceive the sensor in a simple way - glue light sensor with dark adhesive tape.

4 . The assembly of the ULF took the most time. The cheapest ULF chip was taken as a basis LM386-1. The circuit for switching on the microcircuit is standard. For testing, an ULF from another device was first used, and then a separate amplifier was soldered. The volume control has been removed as unnecessary. The volume was controlled by the CD player. The binding of the microcircuit is recruited from soldered radio components taken from old motherboards and computer power supplies. To input a signal from a CD player, a piece of cable from headphones with a 3.5mm plug is used.

5 . It was originally planned to use the player's remote control socket. But it was not possible to find an intelligible scheme of the wired remote control, nor the principle of its operation on the network. The next option was a way to organize a playback start circuit after power was applied by short-term closing the “start” button on the player using an electronic key. But when disassembling the player, getting to the button contacts was not easy. In fact, the player had to be completely disassembled. I didn't want to mess with mechanics. When looking for an alternative way to start playback, it turned out that if fix the start button and supply power to the player, then the player starts playing the recording.

Motion sensor timer allows

make an adjustable delay up to 15 minutes so that the trills do not interrupt, the entire CD is filled with trills without pauses. The start button was fixed with a simple bracket made from a piece of plastic.

6 . With a wide range of speaker systems to choose from, tests showed acceptable reproduction only from two-lane systems. The choice fell on an unpaired column of small size and ancient origin.

We mount the electronic nightingale

1 . A block with a motion sensor is installed in a place where people pass quite often. The unit is connected to the 220V network through a socket using a ShVVP cable. For reliability, the cable is laid in a corrugated pipe before entering the room. The power cord from the old Whirlwind vacuum cleaner was used as a low-voltage cable, but it was not long enough and had to be slightly increased. The cable is suspended between two outbuildings.

2 . A special hole was cut out for the speaker system. The column is fixed in the wall with the help of improvised material. To protect against precipitation and prying eyes, a piece of black polyethylene was shot with staples from above.

3 . The CD player and VLF are placed in a used cabinet from the bathroom. Using the terminal block, observing the polarity, we connect the power wires of the player and the ULF. We connect the power plugs and the signal output from the phone jack to the CD player. We check the correctness and polarity of all connections and connections.

4 . We serve food. With the first power supply, the device should immediately turn on. Adjust the sound volume. The LM386 chip is enough for loud song playback.

Operating experience has shown the efficiency of the idea. A homemade device realistically reproduces the sounds of a nightingale. But with complete silence in the forest from a distance of 15-25 meters, you can still hear noise present in the original entry. When turning on the device, there are several clicks from turning on the power and transients of the player spinning up the disk, which can be serious remark for sonic gourmets, but addressing these shortcomings will complicate the design.

Here comes the time autumn holidays in kindergartens. In our scenario autumn fun"Autumn is golden"there are two birdies for which I needed to do beanie masks. I decided to look on the Internet for options, there were not so many ideas. The most budget option, of course - paper. I used whatman paper, because it is dense and does not lose strength for a long time. After holiday you can use masks during the year for theatrical activities, in the Disguise Corner, for free play activities with elements of theatricalization. It is better to use acrylic paints for artistic creativity, because, unlike gouache and watercolors, they do not get dirty and do not fade. When coloring, I tried to rely on realistic photo images of these birds ( sparrow - brown, white cheeks are visible, etc.) Only the eyes turned out to be stylized - bright, expressive. The main thing is that my results were satisfied " birdies"The artists.
