A classroom hour is a form of educational work in which students, under the guidance of a teacher, are included in specially organized activities that contribute to the formation of their system to the outside world.

NOT. Shchurkova

Introduction

The complex and multifaceted process of education is carried out using a variety of forms. Their choice depends on the content of the educational work, the age of the students, the skills of the teachers, the characteristics of the class, and other conditions in which the process of education takes place.

The form of organization of education is a way of organizing the educational process, reflecting the internal connection of various elements of this process and characterizing the relationship between educators and pupils. In a broad sense, the forms of organization of education characterize the organization of education as a whole, and not individual educational activities. In this understanding, it is legitimate to talk about upbringing in the process of education as one of the forms of organizing upbringing, about out-of-class and out-of-school educational work.

In the educational process, there is a wide variety of forms of work with the children's team. (Annex 1, "Forms from A to Z") . Purposeful, systematic, cyclical use of them, high-quality preparation and implementation will certainly affect the effectiveness of the collective creative work or the direction of educational work, and indeed the whole process. This is especially important for the main forms of educational work, which include the class hour.

What is the role and place of the class hour in the system of out-of-class educational activities of the school, in the education of the class team?

In the current period of radical transformation of educational practice, the need for coverage is obvious. classroom problems. In the current situation of the development of Russian education, it is treated differently: in some educational institutions, class hours have been canceled, classifying them as stagnant authoritarian forms of educational work. In others, on the contrary, they decided to spend it every day, setting aside the first lesson of the school day for communication between the class teacher and his class. We have to admit that neither one nor the other variant of the attitude to the class hour is pedagogically expedient. In the first case, teachers simply lost the specially allotted time for communication with their students, and in the second, this time turned out to be too long to use it strictly for its intended purpose, and teachers began to spend additional training sessions instead of hours of communication. Of course, today teachers are concerned not only and not so much with the frequency of class hours, but with the content and methods of their organization.

Schools, having gone through periods of "educational vacuum", the lack of systematic work, are currently faced with a number of problems that occur to one degree or another in educational institutions:

    lack of consistency, frequency of class hours;

    lack of thematic planning of class hours from grades 1 to 11;

    insufficient mastery of class teachers in the technology of conducting class hours, analysis and evaluation of the performance of the class team;

    poor possession of the skills of organizing the activities of the class team in planning, preparing and conducting class hours.

The main and, perhaps, the only most important form of frontal "educational work" - the class hour - gradually lost the signs of a collective educational event. At class hours, not only the problems of academic performance and life activity were solved, but also events were held in the “directions of education”. They provided one of the few opportunities for students to communicate and contact their teacher outside of class. But the need for communication between students, as the need for students to address the teacher as an older, helping comrade, has been preserved.

Bringing children together for upbringing and education is an inevitable form of working with them both today and in the future. It is impossible to get away from it, because association - in various forms - is always more advantageous than the most impeccable individual work with a student.

The main advantageous difference- a humanistic approach to the association, where the main value is the interests of the individual, which are always priority in relation to the interests of the association and, paradoxically, due to this, they ensure the overall success of the association, expressed in the most effective achievement of a common goal.

The second distinguishing feature- in the process of achieving a single goal of activity. This is due to the differentiation of means to achieve it. Translated into ordinary language, this means different ways of solving a common problem for individual members of an association or microgroups that exist within it.

Third feature- the need to take into account the desire of a certain number of participants in the association to a common goal, due to the conscious needs of each of them to obtain the desired result for themselves personally, which, nevertheless, is important for others.

The fourth feature- the task of the educator (teacher, leader) is considered as a non-violent and imperceptible organization of conditions for the formation of such interpersonal relationships that are most favorable for the successful achievement of the goal.

So class time (hour of education, educational hour, class teacher hour) continues to be one of the most important forms of organizing frontal educational work. The main thing is to ensure purposeful, orderly business communication between the class teacher and students, to create a healthy moral atmosphere.

Consequently, the class hour can and should serve to solve educational problems. True, at a completely different organizational level.

The class hour is a direct form of communication between the class teacher and the students.

Class hour can be held in the form of:

  1. Educational hour (class teacher hour);
  2. Tours;
  3. Thematic lecture;
  4. Conversation (ethical, moral);
  5. disputes;
  6. Meetings with interesting people;
  7. Quizzes in various fields of knowledge;
  8. Discussions (discussions can be free, or there can be discussions on a given topic);
  9. KVN;
  10. Interactive games;
  11. Games - travel;
  12. Theatrical premieres;
  13. Psychological games and trainings;
  14. Reader conferences.

The class teacher's hour (class hour) is a form of educational work of the class teacher in the classroom, in which students take part in specially organized activities that contribute to the formation of their system of relations to the outside world.

Classroom functions

  1. educational

    The essence of the educational function is that the class hour makes it possible to expand the range of knowledge of students that are not reflected in the curriculum. This knowledge may contain information about events taking place in the city, in the country and abroad. The object of class hour discussion can be any phenomenon or event.

  2. Orienting

    The orienting function contributes to the formation of a certain attitude to the surrounding world and the development of a hierarchy of material and spiritual values. Helps to evaluate the phenomena occurring in the surrounding world.

    Enlightening and orienting functions are closely related, because You cannot teach students to evaluate phenomena with which they are not familiar. Although sometimes the class hour performs an exclusively orienting function: when discussing a well-known event.

  3. guide

    The guiding function is designed to translate the discussion of a phenomenon into the real experience of students.

  4. Formative

    The formative function develops in students the skills of thinking and evaluating their actions and themselves, helps in developing skillful dialogue and expression, defending their own opinion.

To select the topic and content of the class hour, the class teacher needs to identify the age characteristics of students, their moral ideas, interests, etc. This can be done, for example, with the help of questionnaires or conversations.

When preparing a class hour, it is necessary to strictly follow the methodology for organizing and conducting a class hour.

  1. Definition of the topic and tasks of the class hour
  2. Determination of the time and place of the class hour
  3. Identification of the key moments of the class hour and development of a plan for the preparation and conduct of the class hour (select the appropriate material, visual aids, musical arrangement on the topic, draw up a plan (script) for the class hour)
  4. Determination of the participants in the preparation and conduct of the class hour (give a task to the students for preliminary preparation for the class hour (if provided for by the plan), determine the degree of expediency of the participation of teachers or parents)
  5. Analysis of its performance.

It is necessary to take into account the psychological characteristics of the perception of the material by students, monitor attention and, when it decreases, use material that is interesting in content or pose a “sharp” question, use a musical pause, change the type of activity.

The class hour is one of the most important forms of organizing educational work with students. It is included in the school schedule and takes place every week on a certain day. Usually, a class hour takes the form of a lecture, conversation or debate, but it can also include elements of a quiz, competition, game, and other forms of educational work.

According to N.E. Shchurkova and N.S. Findantsevich, the class hour performs the following educational functions: educational, orienting and guiding.

The educational function is that the class hour expands the circle of knowledge of pupils in ethics, aesthetics, psychology, physics, mathematics, literary criticism and other sciences. The subject of a class hour can also be knowledge from the field of technology, the national economy, as well as information about events taking place in a village, city, country, world, that is, any phenomenon of social life can become an object of consideration.

Sample topics: "How etiquette appeared", "Our Constitution", "Problems of modern society", etc.

The orienting function consists in the formation of a certain attitude among schoolchildren to the objects of the surrounding reality, in the development of a hierarchy of material and spiritual values. If the enlightening function involves getting to know the world, then the orienting function implies its assessment. These functions are inextricably linked. So, it is difficult or even impossible to instill in children a love for classical music, which they have never heard.

Often classroom hours help students navigate social values. The topics of such class hours: "How to become happy?", "Who to be?", "What to be?", "About masculinity and femininity", etc.

The guiding function of the class hour provides for the transfer of a conversation about life into the real practice of students, directs their activities. This function acts as a real impact on the practical side of the life of schoolchildren, their behavior, their choice of life path, the setting of life goals and their implementation. If there is no certain direction in the process of conducting a class hour, then the effectiveness of its impact on pupils is significantly reduced, and knowledge does not turn into convictions. For example, a class hour on the theme "International Year of the Child" might end with a collective decision to collect books for toddlers from the Children's Home.

Most often, a class hour simultaneously performs all three of these functions: it enlightens, orients, and guides students.

Class hours are held with various educational purposes:

  1. Creation of conditions for the formation and manifestation of the individuality of the student, his creative abilities.
  2. Enriching the student with knowledge about nature, society, man.
  3. Formation of the emotional-sensual sphere and value relations of the child's personality.
  4. Formation of a classroom team as a favorable environment for the development and life of schoolchildren.

Forms and technologies can have many options depending on the goal, the age of the students, the experience of the class teacher and school conditions. Classroom is not a lesson. But usually he is given a place in the school schedule to make it mandatory for the weekly meeting of the form teacher with his class. This requirement is not present in every school today. Maybe this is correct, where the class teacher himself determines when and where he will hold a meeting with the class. It is best if the class hour is put in the school schedule on Saturday, between 3 and 4 lessons. This allows the class teacher to meet with parents of students who have more free time to attend school on Saturday. Sometimes you hear that at school they require that the class hour last 45 minutes, like a lesson. But it doesn’t always work out that way, sometimes you can talk for 20 minutes, and sometimes you can talk much longer, it depends on the topic and purpose, age, form of the class hour.

The main components of the classroom.

Target- goals should be associated, first of all, with the development of the child's individuality, with the design and establishment of his unique way of life.

Organizational and active- students are full-fledged organizers of the class hour. The actual participation and interest of each child, the actualization of his life experience, the manifestation and development of individuality.

Estimated-analytical- as criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of a class hour, the manifestation and enrichment of the child's life experience, the individual-personal significance of the information being assimilated, which affects the development of the individuality and creative abilities of students, are used as criteria.

After describing the main components of the class hour, it is advisable to pay attention to technological aspects his organizations:

  • drawing up the teacher, together with students and parents, the topics of class hours for the new academic year;
  • clarification of the topic and the purpose of the class hour, the choice of the form of conduct;
  • determining the time and place of the class hour;
  • identification of key points and development of a plan for preparing and conducting a class hour;
  • select appropriate material, visual aids, musical arrangement on the topic;
  • determination of participants in the preparation and conduct of the class hour;
  • distribution of tasks between participants and groups;
  • holding a class hour;
  • analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the class hour and activities for its preparation and conduct (which is often absent in the work).

Classroom topics are varied. It is determined in advance and reflected in the plans of class teachers. Class hours can be dedicated to:

  • moral and ethical issues. They form a certain attitude of schoolchildren to their homeland, work, team, nature, parents, themselves, etc.;
  • problems of science and knowledge. In this case, the purpose of class hours is to develop the correct attitude of pupils to study, science, literature as a source of spiritual development of the individual;
  • aesthetic problems. In the process of such class hours, students get acquainted with the main provisions of aesthetics. Here we can talk about beauty in nature, human clothing, everyday life, work and behavior. It is important that schoolchildren develop an aesthetic attitude to life, art, work, themselves, develop their creative potential;
  • issues of state and law. It is necessary to develop students' interest in political events taking place in the world, a sense of responsibility for the actions of the Motherland, its successes in the international arena, to teach students to see the essence of state policy. Class hours on political topics should be held in direct proportion to the saturation of the year with various political events;
  • issues of physiology and hygiene, a healthy lifestyle, which should be perceived by students as elements of human culture and beauty;
  • psychological problems. The purpose of such class hours is to stimulate the process of self-education and the organization of elementary psychological education;
  • environmental problems. It is necessary to instill in students a responsible attitude towards nature. As a rule, conversations about the animal and plant world are organized here;
  • school-wide problems (significant social events, anniversaries, holidays, etc.).

The organization of a class hour begins with the psychological preparation of students for a serious conversation. An important part of the overall organizational work is the preparation of the premises for this event. The room in which the class hour will be held must be clean and ventilated. It would be nice to put flowers on the table. The topic of the class hour can be written on a blackboard or poster, where, in addition to it, the questions to be discussed are indicated. On a piece of paper, as an aphorism, you can quote the words of an outstanding person or a quote from a famous book.

At the classroom hour, the pupils are seated as they want.

Before holding a class hour, the class teacher must solve a number of tasks: determine the topic and methods of conducting the class hour, the place and time of its holding, draw up a plan for the preparation and conduct of the class hour, involve as many participants as possible in the preparation and conduct process, distribute tasks between creative groups and individual students. As in any educational event, it takes into account the age characteristics of children, the characteristics of the class team, and the level of its development.

During the classroom, it is important to stimulate the need for self-education of schoolchildren, their desire to make changes in the work of the class.

One of the main forms of extracurricular educational work has been and remains the class hour. A classroom hour is a form of educational work in which students, under the guidance of a teacher, are included in specially organized activities that contribute to the formation of a system of relations to the outside world.

V.P. Sergeeva

The class hour is a flexible form of frontal educational work, which is a specially organized communication of the class teacher with the students of the class during extracurricular time in order to promote the formation of the class team and the development of its members.

E.N. Stepanov

Based on the above definitions of the class hour, certain features can be distinguished:

  • - it is a form of educational interaction that is flexible in its composition and structure;
  • - this is a form of communication between the class teacher and his pupils, the priority role in the organization of which is played by the teacher.

The experience of successfully working class teachers testifies to the great pedagogical potential of this form of educational work. In the process of preparing and conducting class hours, it is possible to solve the following pedagogical tasks:

Creation of conditions for the formation and manifestation of the individuality of the student, his creative abilities.

Enriching the consciousness of students with knowledge about nature, society, man.

Formation of the emotional-sensual sphere and value relations of the child's personality.

Assimilation of knowledge, skills, cognitive and practical-creative activity by children.

Formation of a classroom team as a favorable environment for the development and life of schoolchildren.

The purpose of the class hour is the end result that the teacher strives for in the system of educational work. And the task of the class hour is the result that the teacher plans to receive and receives at the moment. A task is a step in the overall movement towards a goal. A variant is possible when not one, but two or three tasks are solved at the classroom hour. Many class teachers make serious mistakes: they do not always see the difference between the goal and task of the class hour; and the tasks set by them then look like "tell about ...", "explain ...", "see ...", "discuss ...". After spending one class hour, the class teacher expects immediate results, without creating a system of appropriate influences in another area of students' life; inventing the theme of the class hour, then they adjust the educational goal and tasks for it, they come from the event, and not from education. All these mistakes sometimes give rise to a formal educational event.

So, by organizing the value-oriented activity of schoolchildren with the help of a class hour, we thereby contribute to the transfer and development of social value relations in them, which are the main goal of this form of educational work.

It is necessary to prepare a class hour no less carefully than a lesson: think over the content, determine a clear structure, create an environment and prepare auxiliary material in advance. It is equally important to build the thematic system of a number of classroom hours so that they constitute the goal of the impacts. The methodology for organizing a class hour consists of three main areas: determining the content of a class hour, organizational design, and planning a series of class hours. The organization of a class hour should begin with the psychological preparation of students. Also, an important part of the overall organizational work is the preparation of the premises.

Class hours must be reasonable. The basic rule of time management can be formulated as follows: "The class hour must be completed before the students began to expect the end."

A significant methodological complexity of the class hour lies in the fact that ease, freedom, spontaneity must be combined with clear rules of conduct, clear order, respectful silence and absolute attention of students.

  • lack of consistency, frequency of class hours;

  • lack of thematic planning of class hours from grades 1 to 11;

  • insufficient mastery of class teachers in the technology of conducting class hours, analysis and evaluation of the performance of the class team;

  • poor possession of the skills of organizing the activities of the class team in planning, preparing and conducting class hours.

CLASSROOM HOUR

AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS
It is necessary to find out, first of all, what in pedagogical science and practice is understood by such a form of educational work as a classroom hour. Take and turn to the statements of famous scientists:

  • « Classroom hour there is a form of direct communication between the educator and his pupils ”(V.P. Sozonov)

  • « Classroom hour ... is ... that very “cell” of the educational process that allows the school teacher to find time to communicate with pupils, openly proclaim and highlight the planned attitude to certain values ... "(L. I. Malenkova)

  • « Classroom hour - this is a form of educational work in which students, under the guidance of a teacher, are included in specially organized activities that contribute to the formation of their system to the environment.world” (N. E. Shchurkova).
Based on the above definitions of the class hour, we can distinguish it characteristics. It would be useful to include the following:

  • First of all, this is a form of extracurricular educational activity, and unlike a lesson, it should not be characterized by academicism and a teaching type of pedagogical interaction;

  • Secondly, this is a form of frontal (mass) educational work with children, but it is also important to remember that in the preparation and conduct of a classroom hour, it is possible to use both group and individual forms of educational activity;

  • third, this is a form of educational interaction that is flexible in composition and structure, but this does not mean that all pedagogical contacts of the class teacher with the team of class students can be considered class hours;

  • fourthly, this is a form of communication between the class teacher and pupils, the priority role in the organization of which is played by the teacher. This form of educational work is called the hour of the class teacher.

Class hours are the main component of the class teacher's work system. They are held for various educational purposes. Their forms and technologies can have many options depending on the goal, the age of the students, the experience of the class teacher and school conditions.

Sometimes in pedagogical literature and school practice this form of organization of educational activities is called the hour of education, the hour of education, the hour of the class teacher. It's not about the name. It is important, as already mentioned, to ensure purposeful business communication between the class teacher and students, to create a healthy moral atmosphere.
EDUCATIONAL GOALS AND TASKS OF THE CLASS HOUR
In the process of preparing and conducting class hours, it is possible to solve the following pedagogical goals and objectives:

1. Creation of conditions for the formation and manifestation of the individuality of the student, his creative abilities.

2. Enrichment of the student's consciousness with knowledge about nature, society, man.

3. The development of the emotional-sensual sphere and the value-semantic core of the child's personality.

4. Formation in children of the skills and abilities of mental and practical activities.

5. Assistance in the formation and manifestation of the subjectivity and individuality of the student, his creative abilities.

6. Formation of a classroom team as a favorable environment for the development and life of schoolchildren.

Of course, the solution of all these tasks should be associated not with a certain separate hour of communication between the teacher and his pupils, even brilliantly spent, but with a well-thought-out and detailed system of their organization, where each classroom hour is assigned a certain place and role.

HOME FUNCTIONS

(according to Shchurkova N.E.)

  • educational lies in the fact that the class hour expands the circle of those knowledge of students that are not reflected in the curricula

  • Orienting consists in the formation of certain attitudes among students to the objects of the surrounding reality, in the development of a certain hierarchy of material and spiritual values. If the educational function makes it possible to get acquainted with the world, then the orienting function helps to evaluate it. And this is the main function. True, it is inextricably linked with the educational ...

  • guide the classroom function helps to translate the conversation about life into the area of real practice of students, guiding their activities. "Introduction" and "assessment" of the world should end with "interaction" with it. If there is no certain direction in the process of conducting a class hour, then the effectiveness of its impact is significantly reduced, and knowledge does not turn into convictions, and then a favorable environment is created for the manifestation of skepticism, hypocrisy and other negative personality traits. It is important that the conversation about life directs students to real practical things.

  • Formative the function is associated with the implementation of the 3 above functions and consists in the formation of the habit of students to think about and evaluate their lives and themselves, in developing the skills to conduct a group dialogue, to defend their opinion with reason. During the preparation and conduct of the class hour, students draw, make, compose, depict, which, in turn, develops special skills and abilities. At the same time, properly organized activities form relations between children in a team, a positive and effective public opinion.
MAIN COMPONENTS OF A CLASS HOUR:

  • Target- goals should be associated, first of all, with the development of the child's individuality, with the design and establishment of his unique way of life.

  • Informative- the content of the class hour is personally significant. It includes the material necessary for self-realization and self-affirmation of the child's personality.

  • Organizational and active- students are full-fledged organizers of the class hour. The actual participation and interest of each child, the actualization of his life experience, the manifestation and development of individuality.

  • Estimated-analytical- as criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of a class hour, the manifestation and enrichment of the child's life experience, the individual-personal significance of the information being assimilated, which affects the development of the individuality and creative abilities of students, are used as criteria.

METHODOLOGY OF ORGANIZING A CLASS HOUR
The method of organizing a class hour, first of all, involves determining its content, which in turn depends on the goals, objectives, age characteristics of children, and their experience.

Class hours are very diverse in content, forms and methods of their preparation and conduct. The effectiveness of class hours depends on the organization of the cycle of the main form of work for the academic year, the thorough preparation of teachers and children for it.

The class teacher needs:

  • rely on the goals and objectives, the cyclogram of the main traditional events and affairs of the educational system of the school;

  • determine the purpose and objectives of all educational activities in the classroom;

  • try to systematize the educational process in the classroom, plan the main forms;

  • to determine the topics, the content of class hours, based on the results of the level of upbringing, moral ideas of students (using questionnaires, conversations), school traditions;

  • draw up (or discuss) together with students and parents the topics of class hours for the new academic year or, if the school has calendar and thematic planning from grades 1 to 11, clarify the forms and content;

  • to think over the organization of the preparation and conduct of class hours: to determine the creative groups of students according to their wishes and possibilities, to involve parents, teachers, narrow specialists, employees of the school and out-of-school institutions.

Technological aspects of the classroom organization:

Preparing for the classroom includes the following steps:

  • definition (clarification) of the topic of the class hour, the formulation of its purpose;

  • determination of the form of holding;

  • selection of material based on the requirements for the content of the class hour (relevance, connection with life, the experience of students - the characteristics of the class and the level of their development, age-appropriate characteristics, imagery and emotionality, logic and consistency);

  • drawing up a plan for preparing and conducting a class hour (it should be envisaged to involve schoolchildren in active participation in the preparation of a class hour - as many participants as possible);

  • the use of various forms and methods that increase interest in this topic;

  • selection of visual aids, musical and other design, creation of a favorable environment;

  • determining the participation in the class hour of other actors: parents, students from other classes, teachers, experts on the topic under discussion, etc.;

  • determining the role and position of the class teacher in the process of preparing and conducting a class hour;

  • distribution of tasks between creative groups of students and individual participants;

  • identifying opportunities to consolidate the information received in the classroom in the further practical activities of children;

  • holding a class hour;

  • analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the class hour and activities for its preparation and conduct (which is often absent in the work).
Particular attention in preparing for the classroom should be given to psychological mood students. The mood begins from the moment of notification of the class hour. The best way to prepare is a collective creative activity, when all students, divided into groups, prepare fragments, sections of the classroom, decorate the room, etc.

Class plan structure

The structure of the class hour plan consists of 3 parts: introductory, main, final.

  • introductory part involves asking a question. Its task is to mobilize the attention of schoolchildren, to ensure a serious attitude to the topic, to determine the place and significance of the issue under discussion in a person's life.

  • Main part is determined by the educational tasks of the class hour and provides a solution to the problem. Here are the main content of the class hour.

  • In the final parts are summed up, the significance of the decision is determined.

Tips for organizing a class hour:

2. Be attentive to students' performances, correct, focus on important points, reflect with them, help find the right solutions to the problem.

3. It is necessary to take into account the psychological characteristics of students' perception.

4. The tone of the teacher should be friendly, conducive to open confidential communication.

5. Invite students to choose a convenient place and a pleasant neighbor for themselves.

6. Gradually build up your classroom traditions.

7. In order for the class hour to be interesting to all students, and they have a desire to take part in its preparation, the guys can name the topics of the class hours planned in the class at the organizational class meeting and identify creative groups for preparation and organization.

8. Give students the right to participate in the preparation and conduct of the class hour that is more interesting to them.

9. Groups that prepare a class hour, analyze with the class teacher the materials necessary for its conduct, prepare concert numbers, if necessary, issue invitations.

10. In the class team, you can optionally choose the so-called "information manager(s)" to search for, prepare the theoretical, informational part of the class hour. It is possible to organize a department of information managers at the school press center.

11. The result of a class hour very often largely depends on the degree of interest in it of the class teacher himself.

12. Class hours should not be used for teachings and instructions, lectures. Experienced class teachers strive to ensure that students do not feel that they are being educated at the moment, a class hour is an hour of communication.

13. If the class hour is held only for show, then it will be more useful to save time - yours and the student's.

FORMS AND TYPES OF THE CLASS HOUR
In school practice, various forms and methods of conducting a classroom hour are used. Most often it is carried out by the class teacher himself. He talks with students, introduces them to literary material, identifies and analyzes the public opinion of the class team on certain issues. Sometimes class hours are held in the form of a discussion of current class issues, a review of newspapers and magazines over the past week. The class teacher proceeds from the characteristics of his class. Is his team cohesive? What are the guys' interests? What is their educational level? That is, by creating his own plan of educational work with the class for the academic year, the class teacher determines the role of class hours in it.

Any team keeps traditions. And class hour should be traditional. This means that it must be created together, by the whole team: the teacher and the children. At the classroom hour, joint creativity, mutual exchange of views, creative work to build a team of one's class are possible. A class hour can be devoted to solving current problems, and discussing a topic of interest, a game or a collective creative work can take place here.

The class hour should not be held in an edifying tone, the class teacher should not suppress the initiative of students during the class hour, their desire to express their opinion, to criticize.

Thus, the class hour can be held in various forms.

In the form of a classroom meeting, an hour of communication, an educational hour, it can be an excursion or a thematic lecture, meetings with interesting people, quizzes in various fields of knowledge, KVN, travel games, trainings, reader conferences, theater premieres. But, it should also be borne in mind that there may be an emergency class meeting or replacement for one reason or another of one form of holding a class hour with another. A selection of various forms is given in Annex 2, "Forms of classroom hours."

Let's talk in more detail about the main forms of educational work with the class team.

Class hour - hour of communication

A very interesting form of conducting a class hour - hour of communication, which plays a very important role in the life of students, if it is conceived in an interesting and unusual way. An hour of communication is a joint work of an adult and children. In order for the children to wait for a new opportunity to speak frankly, they must take an active part not only in the preparation and conduct of the class hour, but also in determining the topics of the hours of communication. Discuss with the children the range of issues they are interested in, collect a “basket of problems” and, taking into account the wishes, formulate the topics of class hours.

It is very important to create a comfortable microclimate in the classroom so that the children have a desire to express their opinion, so that they are not afraid to make mistakes or be misunderstood.

The class teacher can invite the children to work out communication rules:

1. Treat each other with respect.

2. Listen carefully to any opinion.

3. While one is speaking, everyone is listening.

4. We communicate our desire to speak out with a raised hand.

Forms of the hour of communication can be different. Their choice depends on the level of development of the team, the characteristics of the class, the age of the children, and the professionalism of the teacher. In practice, the following forms have proven themselves well:

  • Conversation.

  • Discussion (dispute). The discussion allows you to involve children in the discussion of the problem, teaches you to analyze the facts, defend your point of view, listen and understand a different opinion.

  • Role-playing game- KTD form, which allows you to discuss the problem, arouse empathy, try to find a solution with the help of a theatrical game.
Role play methodology:

    • definition of the problem, choice of situation;

    • distribution of roles and discussion of positions and behaviors;

    • replaying the situation (perhaps even several times) in order to find an effective solution;

    • discussion of the situation by the participants.
It is very important that the teacher does not impose his opinion on controversial issues.

The options for conducting role-playing games can be different: “mock trial”, “press conference”, “asked - we answer”, dramatization of a literary work.

  • oral journal. The number and topics of magazine pages are determined in advance and distributed among creative groups.

  • Socio-cultural project- this is an independent study by students of significant social various problems. To create a project, it takes time and compliance with a certain algorithm of actions:

      • studying the situation;

      • collection of information;

      • planning;

      • formation of microgroups and appointment of responsible persons;

      • practical actions;

      • identifying priority outcomes;

      • group analysis of the fulfillment of the assigned tasks.
One way to quickly solve a problem is to brainstorm. This view is often used to solve a specific problem, such as "How to improve classroom attendance." The rules for brainstorming are as follows:

  • the teacher records all the opinions and ideas of the children;

  • opinions are not commented, not evaluated, not repeated;

  • no one is forced to express their opinion;

  • “brainstorming” ends when all ideas are exhausted;

  • all ideas in the conclusion are considered and evaluated.
Great interest among students is caused by class hours in the form of television games: “Star hour”, “What? Where? When?”, “Weak Link”, “Lucky Chance”, etc.

Advantages of an hour of communication over other forms of work.

1. Communication within the classroom makes it possible to communicate immediately with all the students of the class, to hear their opinion on the problem of the conversation, to observe their reaction to the issues under discussion.

2. The effectiveness of a classroom hour also lies in the fact that it can influence both the opinion of the majority of the children and the opinion of one student. Sometimes, in the course of individual work with a student, a teacher cannot achieve such success for hours as he can get during a class hour. Indeed, for children, especially teenagers, the opinion of peers is more important than the opinion of the most authoritative adult.

3. An hour in which various problems are solved allows you to see students in a natural, not simulated atmosphere of communication and solve serious moral problems.

class meeting

class meeting It is a democratic form of organizing the collective life of a class. Its main difference from other forms is that at the meeting the children themselves develop and make decisions (according to Kapustin N.P.).

The class meeting should be held approximately 1-2 times a month. It is the highest self-governing body in the classroom, where children learn communication, democracy, cooperation, independence and responsibility. The purpose of this body is to discuss issues of the life of the team, problems that arise in the classroom.

The class meeting performs two functions: stimulating and organizing.

class meeting:

Distributes assignments;

Elects the headman, representatives to the bodies of the student body;

Listens to reports of students on the implementation of assignments.

The personal participation of the class teacher is obligatory: he votes with the students for / against the adoption of any decision and is personally responsible for its implementation. The class teacher needs to teach the children the democratic procedure for holding a meeting: the ability to listen to speakers, speak on their own, develop collective decisions and vote for their adoption, and obey the will of the majority. In the 5th grade, meetings should be held several times a month, in order to develop the need for students to discuss and solve problems. In the 6th grade, the activity of the congregation expands. As a rule, by the 7th grade, traditions and rules of conduct for a class meeting are formed. The efforts of the class teacher spent on training in preparing and holding a class meeting in grades 5-7 are fully justified in the senior grades.

Thematic class hour

Purpose themed class hour is to develop the horizons of students, to contribute to the needs of the spiritual development of students, their interests, natural self-expression.

Themed class hours require preparation and can be grouped around a specific theme for a long time. These hours can be the beginning and end of serious classroom work that can be supplemented by other forms of extracurricular work.

Speaking about the systemic nature of the educational process, the main form of work with the class team - thematic class hour, should be subject to the general goals and objectives of the school, have a certain cycle in areas and topics in the dynamics of the age of students. For example, at school every month class hours on healthy lifestyles are held in classes and once a quarter - a class hour on the revival of national culture. Many educational institutions held a series of class hours dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory, the 75th anniversary of the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug-Yugra, the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Nizhnevartovsk region. Qualitatively organized and prepared, they played a big role in the civil and patriotic education of students.

Recently, special educational programs have been created on a specific topic, which include sequential (stage-by-stage), from grades 1-11, the education of students in this direction: the programs “Together”, “The world will be saved by beauty”, “Morality”, “I am a citizen of Russia ”, “I am a person”, “Health”, “Commonwealth” (family and school), “Do not cross the line”, “Your choice” and others.

When planning themed class hours, you should also invite students to jointly identify topics. This can be done as follows: the teacher writes out on the blackboard different topics: obligatory for students of this parallel and, for example: “customs and traditions”, “times and countries”, “great people of the world”, “human psychology”, “limits of human capabilities” , “the country, the language being studied”, “the history of etiquette”, “the ABC of the discovery of the world”, “songs in the history of my family and country”, “the world of human hobbies”, “cinema in a person’s life”, “holidays of our house”, “by whom to be and what to be?”, “Music of our time and the past”, etc. Next, students' answers are collected, those topics that are often repeated in the answers are analyzed and selected. These topics will form the basis of thematic class hours. We will talk about how to organize systematic work at school when using a classroom hour in the section “Systematicity in the educational process”

Situational class hour

Unlike a thematic class hour, which meets to a greater extent the needs of the child's spiritual growth, his interests, natural self-expression, situational classroom performs the task of social and moral adaptation of the individual, since the emphasis is on the active and interested participation of each student, the actualization of his life experience, the manifestation and development of his individuality.

The situational classroom method developed by N.P. Kapustin allows students to analyze their own behavior in situations "after the events" in order to learn from their own experience and develop a strategy for future behavior. His idea is that a person's life consists of various situations that influence and in which character, habits, culture are manifested.

The situational classroom technology includes the following components:

  • goal;

  • information;

  • “I am a position”, the reason “I am a position”, “I am a position” and socially significant norms;

  • discussion;

  • reflection;

  • free choice
(see in the section "Systemacity in educational work"). There are two more components outside the classroom: motivation and real results.

A situational class hour can be held as a conversation in the form of classes on solving behavioral problems - situations with moral content. Thus, introspection takes place, one's own decisions are made, responsibility is formed, understanding of one's own failures and mistakes, i.e. individual reflective education.

How to organize and conduct an ethical or moral hour of communication? A moral class hour requires good preparation. Preparing for a moral class hour, the teacher can conduct a preliminary diagnosis of students' understanding of moral concepts and situations. For example: freedom, good, evil, duty, honor, right, openness, love ... Will help the class teacher in this work "Methods for creating a school Dictionary of Ethics" (appendix 3 ), methodological recommendations for holding class hours on the topic "Culture of student behavior"(Appendix 4).

Periodicals, events and facts of the real life of the country and the world, schools, classes, feature films, fiction can serve as material for the preparation of a moral class hour.

It also happens when a moral class hour is held unplanned and is associated with the most difficult situation in the class or school. The main thing is that such a meeting with the guys does not turn into edification and lecturing. The moral class hour is a time of searching for truth, the meaning of one's own existence for both an adult and a child, together with students, drawing moral lessons that will become the general line of behavior in adulthood.

It should be noted that the moral class hour should not be frequent. It is enough to hold such a class hour once every quarter, the main thing is that it be significant in the lives of the children, a noticeable event in the life of the class, and allow them to touch their feelings.

Information class hour

Before information hour called political information. But recently, political information has been rushed to be thrown out of educational work, considering it unnecessary in our time. However, this is completely false. We must shape the political culture and communication skills of students.

The main value of the information hour is to form in students their own belonging to the events and phenomena of the socio-political life of the country, their region, village, broaden their horizons, understand the complex problems of our time, adequately respond to what is happening in the country and the world.

An information hour can be overview (introduces current events in the country, the world) - 20-25 minutes, thematic (introduces the problems of today, their analysis and the attitude of various segments of the population, professionals to this problem) - up to 45 minutes, but no more .

Basic forms information hour:

  • newspaper reports;

  • retelling of events in the world and the country using quotes from the texts of newspapers and magazines;

  • work with a dictionary and reference literature;

  • work with a political map;

  • commented reading of newspaper and magazine materials;

  • formulating problematic questions and finding answers to them;

  • viewing and discussion of TV materials, video materials.

Class hours for the development of intellectual skills of students

When planning your work with the class, one should not forget about the development of students' intellectual abilities through various forms: intellectual marathons; creative days; intellectual rings and quizzes; meeting of the psychological club “Zerkalo”, etc. Approximate topics of class hours for the development of intellectual skills of students are proposed inapplication 5.

SCHEDULE OF CLASS HOURS
Forms and technologies can have many options depending on the goal, the age of the students, the experience of the class teacher and school conditions. Classroom is not a lesson. But usually he is given a place in the school schedule to make it mandatory for the weekly meeting of the form teacher with his class. This requirement is not present in every school today. Maybe this is correct, where the class teacher himself determines when and where he will hold a meeting with the class.

A class hour on a single day of the week for a link or parallel is convenient for intra-school control over the main form of work with the class team. Thematic class hours (if there is a thematic planning from grades 1 to 11) are held simultaneously, if necessary, a thematic event can be held in parallel. Having the allotted time in the schedule, you can assemble a link or parallel for a student meeting or invite lecturers, narrow specialists, etc. to speak.

It is best if the class hour is put in the school schedule on Saturday.

SYSTEMICITY IN EDUCATIONAL WORK
Educational work is a part (subsystem) of the educational process aimed at developing the moral, ethical, legal, aesthetic, consciousness of the child, at inculcating the skills of a culture of behavior. Traditionally, educational work is carried out by class teachers, school teachers.

What place in the system of extra-curricular educational activities of the school should take the classroom hour as the main form of educational work with the class team?

N.P. Kapustin in the textbook "Pedagogical technologies of the adaptive school" offers a specific structure, content, basic forms, methods, algorithms and organization of educational work in an adaptive school. The peculiarity of the educational process in an adaptive school is its consistency. First of all, the system of educational goals was streamlined in this school. The main educational goal is the development of moral consciousness, moral self-consciousness and moral motives of the child. The end result is the moral position of the individual (ideal), moral behavior (real). Between the main goal and the final result, there are sub-goals that express the totality of a person's relationship with the external environment, with the world and with himself. It is the subgoals, or goals of the middle level, that determine the content (content) of the main educational forms.

The main educational forms with a class team, this school includes a class meeting and a class hour.

There are two types of meetings: for planning and organizing life; for summing up the results of life and its analysis.

There are thematic and situational class hours. Their tasks are different. The first meets to a greater extent the needs of the spiritual growth of the child, his interests, natural self-expression. The second serves the socio-moral adaptation of the individual.

At class hours and class meetings, the general structure of the developing method is used, technologies and methods differ. At the meetings, the first three components of the technology and methodology of collective education are used. On situational class hours - the technology and methodology of individual reflective education. There are special scenarios on thematic class hours.

In addition to the main educational forms, games, marathons, discussions, hikes, expeditions, and excursions are used. There is a lot of literature on the methodology for conducting these forms of work, and their implementation is not difficult.

The system of educational work using the main forms is built within a month.

On the 1st week, a class meeting is held to plan collective activities for the coming month. On the 2nd - a situational class hour with a discussion of any behavioral situation. At the 3rd - a thematic class hour in order to expand consciousness with the area of knowledge that meets the needs and interests of children. On the 4th week - a class meeting to summarize and analyze the activities of students.

As a rule, class hours and meetings are held in schools after school hours and on a day that is convenient for the class teacher. In an adaptive school, these forms are included in the lesson schedule: once a week (for example, on Tuesdays) at the 3rd lesson for the first shift, at the 1st lesson for the second shift. Thus, orderliness and dynamism are set in educational work. We summarize the above considerations in a table.

Consistency is set by a set of such components as goals, content, forms, methods and technologies, conditions and evaluation of results, their correlation with goals. As for the content, in the absence of educational programs, it is determined by the plan of educational work of the school or the plan of educational activities.

In recent years, the term "educational activity" has appeared in the pedagogical literature. This school considers educational activity as a means of education. But not every activity educates, but only one that allows you to translate pedagogical goals into the goals of children's activities, in the process of which certain personality traits are formed.

The above scheme allows us to see what is common in the educational process and the process of education, which allows us to draw a conclusion about the systemic organization of educational work. The authors draw the reader's attention to the absence of the term "educational system". There is no contradiction in this. The educational process is considered as an integral system, and within its framework there is a subsystem, educational work, which carries all the signs of systemicity.

METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT

PREPARATION AND CONDUCT OF THE CLASS HOUR
It is not always easy and quick for a novice class teacher, and sometimes an experienced one, to set goals and objectives, to determine the form for preparing and holding a class event, a class hour. This creative process requires reflection, time for preparation and organization. Often, students in the classroom feel like they are in a lesson (listen to the teacher's monologues, answer questions).

Such an approach to the use of the student's time after school in no way contributes to the development of the student as a member of the student team, as a person. It is not always that what is interesting to the teacher is also interesting to his pupils, since class teachers do not always take into account the age characteristics of children, their ability to perceive this or that information by ear, to carry out the teacher’s plan, even if it is interesting (in the opinion of an adult) task.

Therefore, today we are talking about new approaches to raising children through the classroom. Most teachers believe that the strategic direction of improving this form of educational work is to increase the role of the classroom in the development of the child's personality, the formation of his unique individuality. A new type of class hour is born - student-oriented.

In order to increase the competence of school teachers in matters of modern educational technologies, to promote the formation of an orientation among teachers to use a student-centered approach in educational work, to master the methods of preparing and conducting a student-centered class hour at school, it is necessary to provide training, methodological support and support for classroom leaders on this issue. Deputy director for educational work with the methodological association of class teachers, in addition to teaching traditional forms: pedagogical councils (Annex 6 , Pedagogical Council "Class hour in the system of personality-oriented education") , seminars, lectures, trainings, organizational and activity games, individual and group consultations, can organize a master class, a pedagogical lounge, a round table, pedagogical debates. In addition, it is advisable for the school to create on the basis of a library (media library) or an educational work cabinet a database of work forms, information thematic references from various sources, comments from specialists, scenarios for holding class events in thematic areas, the age of students. A systematized methodical piggy bank will increase the quality, creative preparation of class teachers and students for class events.

THEMATIC PLANNING

GREAT HOURS
Drawing up a calendar-thematic planning of class hours must be carried out in accordance with:

  • with the goals and objectives of the program of educational activities of the class teacher;

  • with the main cyclogram of traditional school affairs for the academic year.
Consider the compilation of thematic planning of class hours based on the cyclogram of traditional school affairs in stages.

Stage 1: we determine 1-2 main topics (directions of educational work) for the thematic classroom hour by month for the academic year;

Stage 2: we define in this topic (s) an approximate theme of class hours for the school unit or the entire school from grades 1 to 11, taking into account the dynamics of the cognitive and spiritual development of the child.

This solution of the issue is especially beneficial and useful for those schools where the priority forms of work are collective creative activities (especially traditional, significant ones), which solve a complex of problems, cover all (or a significant part) of the participants in the educational process, are diverse in forms of work and content, are long in duration. time, involve the interaction of all school structures (school library, subject MO, MO of class teachers and heads of distance learning, associations of additional education, school student self-government, psychological and pedagogical service, school museum, greenhouse, etc.) in the context of a single cause. When planning a case, we recommend taking into account a rational combination of collective, group and individual forms of education.

Who and how can participate in the development of themes for class hours? In elementary school, this can be done at a meeting of the methodological association of class teachers in the form of a business game. In the middle and senior levels, thematic areas can be distributed among school structures, for example, topics on civic-patriotic education can be developed by teachers of the methodological association of teachers of history and social science, on spiritual and moral education of teachers of literature, librarians. Legal education within the framework of the entire school must be coordinated with the teacher of social science, the social teacher of the school, the direction "Healthy lifestyle" will be competently planned by the valeologist in cooperation with methodological associations of teachers of natural sciences, physical education, etc.

When compiling topics, it is necessary to rely on regulatory documents of the federal, regional, municipal levels, take into account the goals and objectives of the School Development Program, the educational system, as well as the real state of the quality of education at school.

Working materials on compiling thematic planning of class hours are presented in application 8.

PEDAGOGICAL ANALYSIS

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES (CASES)

(according to I.P. Tretyakov)
The analysis takes into account that the preparation of an educational event (case) goes through a number of interrelated interacting stages, at each of which the teacher includes a certain group of children in one or another type of activity, forming an attitude to certain aspects of reality. There are five such stages in the educational event: analysis environment and goal setting, planning, organization, immediate impact on the team, the final phase.

The implementation of any stage without connection with another loses all meaning, so the analysis includes all stages. The collected information on all five stages is the basis for a deep and comprehensive analysis.

Main aspects of the analysis

  1. The place of this educational work in the educational process of the school, class, its connection with the educational process, with other educational activities (circles, clubs, sections, etc.).

  2. The purpose of the educational work (subject, educational, as far as it has been achieved).

  3. Pedagogical substantiation of the theme and form of organization of educational work.

  4. Types and content of children's activities in its process (cognitive, artistic and creative, technical, sports, gaming, organizational, etc.), assessment of its educational influence.

  5. Interaction and cooperation of adults and children at all stages. During the discussion (free talk) evaluated: coverage educational work, psychological state of children in its process (organization, passion, emotional reactions, statements). Eventually performance is determined educational affairs (cognitive, educational), Availability positive experience elements, shortcomings and their causes, are formed conclusions, advice, recommendations.

Class activity analysis schemes(class hour) as options are offered in annex 7 .
