Sprats salad under a fur coat, recipe with photos. Sprats under a fur coat Sprats salad under a fur coat with melted cheese

Let the vegetables cook until done. It is worth noting that all vegetables can be cooked in one pan, in order to save dishes. The only downside to this may be that the potatoes and carrots will be colored by the beets. But in a layered salad, this doesn't really matter. Leave the finished vegetables to cool, then peel them. Grind all the vegetables on a grater, but separately. Open the jar of sprats and drain the oil. We remove the fish itself from the jar and cut off the tails. Chop the sprats with a fork. Now we need to decide how exactly we will lay out our salad: in a ring, or just in a salad bowl. Place grated potatoes on the bottom. We spread only ½ of the total potatoes.

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on top of the potato layer.

Place a layer of sprat on the beets.

Then we repeat the potato layers.

  1. Sprats under a fur coat are easy to prepare. First, let's prepare all the ingredients needed for the salad. Boil the potatoes and carrots in one bowl until fully cooked, and the beets in another. Once ready, let them cool a little so you can work with them. And so, first we peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater.
  2. Next, peel the skins from the potatoes and also pass them through a coarse grater. Peel the beets and grate them on a fine grater. Note that for now we need to keep all the products away from each other. Meanwhile, boil the eggs hard. Place in cold water and cook for 10 minutes from the moment it boils.
  3. After this, put the eggs in cold water so that they cool completely and remove the shells from them, pass them through a coarse grater. Later, we peel the onions and chop them into small cubes. Also, we will grate hard cheese into a separate bowl on a medium grater. Squeeze the garlic directly into the mayonnaise, mix and let stand.
  4. Next, we need to drain the sprats in a colander to drain the oil, since it will be superfluous in the dish. Place the sprats in a small bowl and thoroughly crush them into crumbs with a fork. Now we will add a small amount of mayonnaise to the grated beets and mix them well, set them aside for now.
  5. At this stage we begin to lay out our sprats in layers under the fur coat. To begin, place the first layer of sprats on a flat dish and smooth it out evenly. The second layer will be chopped onion, which we need to coat with a small amount of mayonnaise to taste.
  6. Now we are making an even layer of potatoes, which also needs to be greased with mayonnaise to taste. Note that you can add a little salt and/or pepper if you wish. Also, you don’t have to use a flat dish or, for convenience, use a mold ring so that the layers don’t move apart.
  7. After this, we will make a layer of grated carrots and also coat it with a layer of mayonnaise to taste. Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes, squeeze out the excess juice from them, since we don’t need it, and place the chopped cucumbers on top of the carrots, press the layers a little so that they compact.
  8. Almost the penultimate layer will be grated eggs, which we carefully lay out and also coat with mayonnaise. Eggs can also be peppered to taste. Then, we open the eggs with grated cheese so that it completely covers the top layer of eggs and smooth it out without greasing it with mayonnaise.
  9. During this time, the beets and mayonnaise should have brewed well, and we evenly cover the entire salad with them. This layer will be the final one, so smooth it out thoroughly using a spatula or spoon. At this stage, if desired, decorate the salad in any convenient way. For example, parsley.

Simple layered salad Sprats under a fur coat.

I present to your attention the original version of the salad called Shuba. This will be a juicy and spicy layered salad. Sprats add the main taste and aroma to the entire salad. The salad is simple and easy to prepare if you pre-bake and boil the ingredients for it. Carrots and eggs can simply be boiled in water. I recommend baking potatoes and beets, wrapped in foil. Baked vegetables are ideal for holiday salads and will make them very tasty.
Preparation time: 15 minutes.
Cooking time: 40 minutes.

Ingredients for two servings:

  • baked beets 1 medium root vegetable
  • baked potatoes 1-2 pcs.
  • marketable carrots 1-2 pcs.
  • sweet and sour apple 1 pc.
  • sprats 80-100 g
  • boiled egg 1 pc.
  • lemon to taste
  • mayonnaise 70 ml.
  • green onions to taste.

Recipe for Shuba salad with sprats.

1. Peel the baked potatoes, grate them on a coarse grater, and place them in a bowl. To prevent the potatoes in the salad from turning out bland, pour a few tablespoons of sprat oil onto it, lightly salt and pepper. If desired, you can squeeze a little lemon juice onto the potatoes.

2. Take a round mold to form this salad. This can be either a homemade or a ready-made metal ring mold. Place the mold on a flat plate, place the grated egg on the bottom as the first layer. Compact the layer and grease with mayonnaise.

3. Mash the sprats with a fork, set aside a few fish for presentation of the dish. Add sprats in the next layer to the mold.

4. Place the potatoes on the sprats, compact them and brush with mayonnaise.

5. Grind the peeled carrots and place them in the mold, again add mayonnaise to taste.

6. Grate a medium apple, sprinkle lemon juice on top and stir lightly. Lemon will help the apple retain its color. Now place the apple in another layer in the mold. Don’t forget to compact each layer so that it doesn’t fall apart when serving to guests.

7. Grind the baked beets on a fine grater, squeeze out all the juices from the resulting mass. Add it as the last layer of salad.

8. Grease the salad with mayonnaise, decorate with crumbled yolk and chopped green onions, two sprats. It takes 2-3 hours for the sprats salad to soak under the fur coat. Then remove the ring form, the salad can be served.
