On March 14, 2018, for the first time in Vladikavkaz, the Charity Program “Children’s Smiles of Russia” will be held, organized by the Dental Association of Russia (StAR) with the support of the All-Russian public organization “Society of Doctors of Russia” (OVR), the Local Government Administration of Vladikavkaz, the Ministry of Health of the Northern Republic Ossetia-Alania, Innovation Center StAR - Clinical and Diagnostic Center for Dentistry SOGU, as well as with the assistance of Wrigley (Mars Inc.) and R.O.C.S. ® (DRC Group of Companies).

Vladikavkaz will be the first region where the second wave of the Charity Program will be implemented, thanks to which children from socially disadvantaged groups living in large, single-parent families, families with children disabilities, young children, as well as unemployed families will be able to receive qualified assistance and find healthy smiles.

The goal of the Charity Program is to raise awareness about prevention dental diseases, provide dental treatment and give a healthy smile to children school age from 7 to 11 years and children adolescence from 11 to 18 years.

“We are convinced that it is easier to prevent dental diseases than to treat them, which is why it is important to develop and implement prevention programs as early as early age. We thank the Wrigley Company Foundation for supporting the “Children’s Smiles of Russia” program, which allows us to minimize the risk of developing caries and periodontal disease in children - notes Vladimir Viktorovich Sadovsky, President of StAR. - The charity program will be implemented on the basis of the Clinical and Diagnostic Dentistry Center of SOGU, which has the status of “Innovation Center of the Russian Dental Association.”

The Russian Children's Smiles program is implemented in the following areas: consultations pediatric dentist and orthodontist, complex professional hygiene, caries treatment, orthodontic examination and treatment, and increasing awareness of dental disease prevention are the most important methods to maintain an adequate level of dental health in children.

City Dental Clinic No. 1 has opened on the basis of SOGU!

On December 25, the official opening of the medical and educational base of SOGU took place - City Dental Clinic No. 1 (Dovator Avenue, 22). The opening was attended by: the leadership of the university, represented by the rector of SOGU Valery Sozanov and the first vice-rector Alexander Bliev, as well as invited guests, among whom were the deputy chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of the city of Vladikavkaz Madina Khodova, the chairman of the North Ossetian trade union organization of healthcare workers of the Russian Federation Nikolay Torchinov and others.

The clinic will use the most advanced dental technologies. There will be therapeutic, pediatric, orthodontic, surgical, orthopedic departments and an X-ray room.
