New Year's competitions and entertainment. Competitions and games for the little ones

What a holiday, and even more so New Year no games, entertainment or competitions. Adults, just like children, want to spend the New Year holidays in a fun and interesting way. These games can be used to create holiday scenarios. events for adults dedicated to the New Year.

Fun games, competitions and entertainment at the New Year's party

Fun relay race

You can play in pairs and teams. Two participants are given two pencils, one matchbox and one glass (not empty, of course). You need to take pencils in your hand, put a matchbox on them, place a glass on the box and cover a certain distance. Whoever hasn't spilled the vodka will drink it.

Chained by one chain

Teams of 3-7 people participate. Depending on the number of participants, hats are sewn to the rope at intervals of 1 meter. Participants put them on their heads and dance to the music. The team whose cap falls off first loses. You cannot hold the hat with your hands.

Matryoshka dolls

All those present are divided into two teams, stand in a line one after another, each holding a scarf. On command, the second player ties a scarf from the back to the first (it is strictly forbidden to correct or help each other), then the third to the second, and so on. The last player ties the penultimate one and triumphantly shouts: “Everyone is ready!” The entire team turns to face their opponents.

You can play for speed, quality, appearance"matryoshka dolls" - the main thing is to have time to photograph the cheerful "matryoshka dolls".

Wow or eh?

Two teams are formed: “M” and “W”. One team makes two words and a wish for each of them. For example, “Uh” - kiss two, “Eh” - kiss everyone. Then one player from the second team is called up. But none of them should know words and desires. They ask him: “Uh or eh?” Whatever word he chooses, such a wish will be fulfilled. You can make funny wishes. For example: crawl between the legs of the opposing team and drink a glass of strong drink.

Happy Well

The presenter takes a bucket, pours some vodka into it and puts a glass in the bucket. The player must get the coin into the glass. If his coin gets into the vodka, the next participant throws his coin. If a player hits a glass with a coin, he takes all the coins from the bucket and drinks the vodka.

Relay race for a friendly company

Two teams are participating. The more people there are, the better. In each team, players line up in a column: man - woman; A chair is placed in front of each column, on which the first team member sits. He holds a match in his mouth (without sulfur, of course). At the leader’s command, the second player runs up to him, takes the match without using his hands and sits in the place of the first. The first one runs to the rear of the column. The relay continues until the first team players are on the chair again.

With cake

Guests are divided into two teams. Each team is given a cake cardboard box, tied with a rope. Each team has a special participant with a bottle of vodka (beer will do) - he drinks his team. Everyone’s hands are tied behind their backs, including the “drinkers.”

The first team to eat their cake and drink their vodka wins. Without vodka, the cake does not count!

“The sea is agitated” in a new way

Remember the old game “The Sea is Troubled,” which you all probably played in childhood. Let's remember the rules. A presenter is selected. If there are too many people willing to fill this role, then it can be counted. Here’s a simple little rhyme: “An apple was rolling through the garden and fell straight into the water: “thump.”

The presenter reads the words, and at this time the players think about their figure. When they hear the word “freeze,” the players freeze in any position. The presenter can “turn on” anyone at will or anyone who moves. The one whose presentation the presenter likes the most becomes the presenter. If the presenter doesn’t like anything 3 times in a row, he is replaced.

The words of the presenter: “The sea worries once, the sea worries twice, the sea worries three - an erotic figure, freeze in place!”

New Year's drink

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required Items: blindfold, large glass, various drinks.

Progress of the game. Players must split into pairs. One of them is blindfolded, and the other mixes various drinks in a large glass: Pepsi, mineral water, champagne, etc. The second player’s task is to guess the components of the prepared drink. The pair that most accurately describes the composition of the prepared “potion” wins.

New Year's Sandwich

Number of participants: everyone interested

Required Items: blindfold, festive table with a variety of dishes.

Progress of the game. This is a variation of the previous game, only pairs can change places. The “sighted” player prepares a sandwich from everything on the table. The “blind man” must taste it. But at the same time, hold your nose with your hand. The one who correctly names the most components wins.

Mute Santa Claus and deaf Snow Maiden

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Progress of the game. Quite a fun game that will help identify Creative skills gathered at the festive table, and also laugh heartily! A pair consisting of Father Frost and Snow Maiden is selected. The task of the mute Santa Claus is to show with gestures how he wants to wish everyone present a Happy New Year. At the same time, the Snow Maiden must pronounce all congratulations out loud as accurately as possible.

Number of participants: leader, at least 4 people.

Required Items: uniform elements in the form of red noses with elastic bands, cotton beards, hats, boots, bags, etc.

Progress of the competition. The participants sit in a circle, after which the leader puts left hand on the right knee of the neighbor on the left, and right hand on the left knee of the neighbor on the right. The rest of the participants act in a similar way. The leader begins to tap a simple rhythm with his left hand. His neighbor on the left repeats the rhythm on the leader’s left foot. The leader’s right neighbor hears the rhythm and also begins to beat it with his left hand on the leader’s right leg. And so on in a circle. It is not so easy for all participants to learn to beat the correct rhythm, so for a long time someone will get confused. If there are enough people, then you can introduce a rule - the one who makes a mistake is eliminated.

Elections

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required Items: red noses with elastic bands, cotton beards, hats, boots, bags, etc.

Progress of the competition. It is announced to those present that elections are planned for the best Father Frost and the best Snow Maiden. After this, men dress in the costume of Father Frost, and women - the Snow Maiden. At the same time, it is advisable to show imagination and not try to look like these characters should. At the end, those present decide who completed their task more successfully than the rest.

Mittens

Number of participants: everyone, in pairs (woman and man).

Required Items: thick mittens, robes with buttons.

Progress of the competition. The essence of the competition is that men put on mittens and must fasten the buttons on the robe that women wear. The one who buttons greatest number buttons in the shortest time is declared the winner.

New Year wishes

Number of participants: 5 participants.

Progress of the competition. Five participants are given the task of naming one New Year's wish in turn. The one who thinks about the wish for more than 5 seconds is eliminated. Accordingly, the last one remaining wins.

Spitters

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required items: pacifiers.

Progress of the competition. In this competition, it is proposed to follow the example of the residents of Kenya, among whom it is customary to spit at each other on New Year’s Day, which in this country is a wish for happiness in the coming year. In Russia, the acceptability of this tradition is questionable, but in the form of a fun competition, it is quite suitable, and you only need to spit with pacifiers. The winner is the one who spits it out the furthest.

Dressing

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required Items: various outfits.

Progress of the competition. The point is to dress up in a pre-prepared outfit faster than others. Whoever is faster wins. It is advisable to come up with as diverse and funny outfits as possible.

Song of the year

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required Items: small pieces of paper with words written on them, a hat or some kind of bag, pan, etc.

Progress of the competition. The bag contains pieces of paper with words written on them such as Christmas tree, icicle, Santa Claus, frost, etc. Participants draw notes from a bag and must sing a New Year or winter song that contains this word.

Shovelers

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required Items: empty champagne bottles.

Progress of the competition. Newspapers are spread on the floor. The challenge is to stuff the largest number of newspapers into a champagne bottle. The one who crams the most wins.

Jumping into the unknown

Number of participants: 3-4 participants.

Progress of the competition. Germany can boast interesting tradition“jumping” on New Year’s Day, when participants stand on chairs and jump forward from them at midnight. Whoever is further wins.

The same thing is proposed to be done in this competition. Moreover, the jump should be accompanied by a joyful exclamation. In principle, you can do without chairs, just jump from your seat. Accordingly, the one who jumped into the New Year the furthest wins.

Competition with glasses

Number of participants: everyone is interested.

Required Items: A glass with contents such as water or wine.

Progress of the competition. The participant must run around the table, holding the glass by the stem with his teeth and without spilling the contents. The longer the leg, the better. Accordingly, the winner is the one who goes around the table the fastest and does not spill the contents.

Have you already started preparing competitions for the New Year 2019? Yesterday I decided to look for various games and competitions for the New Year, and found many interesting ones that will help us enter the Year of the Pig cheerfully and joyfully.

How to prepare for competitions and games: fun and interesting competitions for the New Year will help save even traditional New Year's family gatherings in the company of a TV, not to mention a party for fun company. However, it is best to prepare a little.

  1. Make a plan for games and competitions. A group of adults will need to eat, raise their glasses to the New Year, and dance, so the game program should be carefully woven into the natural flow of the party.
  2. Prepare your props. Having decided what you will play at home for the New Year, make a list of what you will need for this or that competition. It's best to organize props and prizes into themed competitions (I use small gift bags for this).
  3. Stock up on prizes. People really like to receive small funny prizes - candies, chocolates, cute New Year's toys. It’s better to take extra prizes.
  4. It is better to make auxiliary materials on cards - if you need to stock up on some phrases, scripts and texts, then write or print them on regular cards in advance, this is much more convenient than using one large script.
  5. Select music, identify your helpers, prepare a place for games.

Collection of competitions and games

"Wishes"

The simplest New Year's games and all sorts of competitions are those where guests do not need to do anything - for example, they can be asked to burst balloons with wishes inside.

You need to prepare in advance a large bunch of balloons (their number should be greater than the number of guests, just in case), inside which notes with wishes are inserted. For example, you can give a guest scissors and invite him to cut off the ball he likes, and then read it aloud to all the guests - such a simple but cute entertainment helps the company have fun and unite.

"Tsiferki"

New Year's games and competitions built on the “question-answer” model always receive a lot of applause. It’s no wonder - everyone loves to laugh, but there are no difficulties.

So, the host hands out small pieces of paper and pens to the guests and invites them to write down Favorite number(or any other number that comes to mind). If you wish, you can record some sequence and play several circles. When all the guests have completed the task, the presenter says that now everyone present will be able to learn more about each other - he will ask questions, and the guests will answer them, holding up a piece of paper with the numbers written down and loudly announcing the answer.

It is best to choose simple questions - how old is this or that guest, how many times a day does he eat, how much does he weigh, how many times has he stayed for a second year, and so on.

"Not a word of truth"

My favorite pastimes are funny competitions for the New Year. Of course, for a group of pensioners you will need to choose something more decent, but in your circle you can always have fun - for example, by playing the game “Not a Word of the Truth”.

The presenter will need to prepare in advance many New Year's questions, such as these:
  • What tree is traditionally decorated for the holiday?
  • What film in our country symbolizes the New Year?
  • what is customary to launch into the sky in New Year's Eve?
  • who is sculpted from snow in winter?
  • who on TV addresses Russians with a New Year's speech?
  • The outgoing year is the year of whom according to the Chinese calendar?
It’s better to write down more questions, you can ask about New Year's traditions different countries, or the habits of guests. During the game, the host will have to quickly and cheerfully ask his questions, and the guests will answer, without saying a word of the truth.

The one who makes a mistake and answers truthfully, based on the results of the game, can recite poetry, sing a song or fulfill various wishes - you can use wishes to play forfeits, for example, the loser needs to put several tangerine slices in both cheeks and say something like “I’m a hamster and I eat grain, don’t touch it - it’s mine, and whoever takes it will be finished!”. Bursts of laughter are guaranteed - both during the game and during the “punishment” of the losing participant.

"Accurate shooter"

As entertainment for the New Year 2019, you can play snipers. It’s most fun to play this game when the participants are already a little tipsy - and coordination becomes more free, and there is less constraint, and it’s a little more difficult to hit the target.

The essence of the game is as follows - the guests are divided into two teams, and in turn each player throws “snowballs” into a bucket. The bucket is placed at a distance of five to seven meters from the players; you can use lumps of cotton wool, crumpled paper as “snowballs,” or just take a couple of sets of simple New Year’s plastic balls, which are sold in any supermarket.

I decided to improve this game for a New Year's party 2019 for adults and use children's basketball hoops as a “goal” - hitting them with a soft ball of cotton wool is even more difficult than hitting them with a bucket.

"New Year decoration"

Certainly, New Year's competitions for adults they may be less athletic.

All those present should be divided into teams of 5-6 people (depending on the number of guests at your party). The teams are given the task of building a New Year's ball. For production, you can only use toiletries, accessories and jewelry that the team members are wearing. The team that makes the brightest and most beautiful ball wins.

By the way, a little life hack- in every company there are people who do not actively participate in competitions and try to just sit out, which is why quite a lot of time is spent on persuasion. So, appoint them to the jury - you can make them score cards in advance, offer them to make a short speech into an improvised microphone. This way they will be simultaneously involved in the general fun, and at the same time they will not have to be persuaded and pulled out from the table.

And of course, the sight of my own mother, who soulfully speaks into a glass of champagne instead of a microphone about how grateful she is to Mikhalkov and the Film Academy for the opportunity to see the ice battle in her own living room is priceless. :))

"Come, forest deer"

By the way, if you are selecting competitions for a corporate event for the New Year or for a party that will not take place in a city apartment, then be sure to play Santa with his reindeer. There is no need to divide the guests into teams; it is enough to simply invite them to split into pairs.

Each pair has a “reindeer” and a “Santa” (you can give one improvised antlers and the other Santa hats - both are sold for mere pennies in a fixed-price store before the new year).

The “deer” needs to be blindfolded and made into a harness - no need to split hairs, a simple clothesline or cord that wraps around the belt will do. The reins are given to Santa, who stands behind his “reindeer.” A track is built from the pins, the leader gives a signal and the competition begins. Those participants who reach the finish line earlier than others and do not knock down the pins win. Instead of skittles, you can use empty bottles, cardboard drink cups or paper cones (we made them in the shape of Christmas trees, it was very cute).

"Collective Letter"

When it comes to New Year's games at the table, I always remember how my parents and friends wrote a collective New Year's greeting for everyone present every New Year. You can use a ready-made text (as in the image), you can create your own - the main thing is that it should not contain adjectives - the guests should call them.

The host invites the guests to congratulate each other and say a big and beautiful toast - and waves a postcard on which he has already written a congratulation. Only he didn’t have enough adjectives, and the guests must suggest them. Everyone randomly offers adjectives related to winter, New Year and holiday, and the presenter writes them down and then reads out the result - the text turns out to be very funny!

"Turnip: New Year's version"

If you love New Year's competitions for the whole family, then turnip is what you need!

So, you need to prepare the participants - they need to match the number of characters in the fairy tale. Each participant gets a role in an impromptu performance. It's simple, the participant needs to remember the key phrase and movement that he must act out when mentioning himself.
  1. The turnip will slap its knees and then clap its hands with the exclamation “Both-on!”
  2. The grandfather rubs his palms and grunts, “Sooo!”
  3. The grandmother swings her fist at the grandfather and says, “I would have killed him!”
  4. The granddaughter dances and sings “I’m ready!” in a high voice (when men play this role, it turns out just great).
  5. The bug itches and complains of fleas.
  6. The cat wags its tail and mannerly drawls, “And I’m on my own.”
  7. The mouse sadly shrugs its shoulders and says, “We’ve finished the game!”
After everyone has tried themselves in a new role, the presenter reads the text of the fairy tale (no changes here), and the actors act out their role whenever they hear about themselves. The grandfather planted (rubs his hands and grunts) a turnip (clap-clap, both of them!) and further according to the text. Believe me, there will be enough bursts of laughter, especially when the fairy tale comes to the end, and the presenter will list all the participants in turn.

"Strictly in alphabetical order"

During one of the pauses, the presenter takes the floor and reminds everyone present that the New Year’s celebration is just beginning, but it’s already difficult to remember the alphabet. In this connection, the presenter suggests filling the glasses and raising them, but strictly in alphabetical order.

Each guest must make a short toast to his letter of the alphabet. The first one starts with the letter a, the second one should start with the letter b, and so on. Toasts should be simple:
  1. A It is absolutely necessary to drink to happiness in the new year!
  2. B Let's go healthy in the new year!
  3. IN Let's drink to the old year!
  4. E If we don’t get drunk, we’ll have to eat!
The task for everyone present is to make toasts for each letter of the alphabet, and then choose the winner - the one who came up with the best toast, which is worth drinking for!

"Bunnies"

If you want to pick up outdoor games for the New Year 2019, play bunny. On New Year's Eve, it is best to play this game at home when there are many guests - it is suitable for a group of friends.

Everyone stands in a circle and holds hands, the leader walks around all the players in a circle and whispers to everyone the names of two animals - a wolf and a bunny, a fox and a bunny, and so on. Then he explains the essence of the game - when the presenter says the name of the animal out loud, the person for whom it was given crouches, and his neighbors on the left and right, on the contrary, pull him up, not allowing him to sit down. You need to play at a good pace so that the participants get into a frenzy.

The main joke of this action is that absolutely all players have a second animal - a bunny. Therefore, after people have taken turns squatting to the names of other animals, the leader says “Bunny!”, and the whole circle suddenly tries to sit down (trying to overcome the possible resistance of neighbors, as was the case with other animals).

Naturally, everyone starts laughing, and a pile of small things gathers on the floor!

"News from the New Year"

A great competition that you can play without leaving the table.

The presenter will need to prepare cards on which unrelated words and concepts will be written - five or six words, no more needed. Each participant receives a card and must quickly come up with the hottest news from the New Year's issue, using all the words from the card. What to write on cards? Any set of words.
  • China, dumplings, roses, Olympics, lilac.
  • Santa Claus, wheel, eraser, north, bag.
  • New Year 2019, fan, tights, pan, scabies.
  • Santa Claus, pig, herring, stapler, barrier.
  • Nettle, tinsel, Kirkorov, fishing rod, plane.
  • Football, shovel, snow, Snow Maiden, tangerines.
  • Snowman, beard, tights, bicycle, school.
  • Winter, zoo, washing, boa constrictor, rug.
How to come up with news? Set an example for guests by showing that all words must be used, and the stranger the news, the more interesting it is.

Well, for example, from the last example I gave, you can build something like this: “In the Moscow Zoo, during winter washing, a rug was discovered in a boa constrictor.” There will be a reason to be surprised, and laugh, and drink to the fact that all the news in the new 2019 will be just as positive.

"We're jumping into the New Year"

As a family, we often organize jumping as an entertainment for the New Year, and 2019 will not be an exception, I’m sure - this is already a kind of tradition.

So, how it happens: after drinking for the outgoing year, the presenter brings markers and pencils (the brighter the better) and a large sheet of paper (Whatman paper A0-A1) and invites everyone present not just to enter the new year, but to jump - so that it passes dynamically, energetically and brightly!

And for all your wishes to come true, you need to draw them. On a large sheet of paper, everyone draws their desires - some manage to draw several miniatures, for others it is enough to sketch what they want. By the time the president speaks, the drawing is usually completed or the finishing touches are remaining. After the president’s speech, the presenter invites everyone to join hands, count down the chimes in unison, and solemnly jump into the new year and the fulfillment of their own wishes!

By the way, my mother and I usually save the sheet, and next year checking who has what has come true is also a topic for table conversation, by the way.

"The best"

Good New Year's entertainment can happen without a host. Good way keep the guests busy - give them unique tasks, but few people want to just compete, right?

Therefore, we do the following - we hang sweets or small gifts on the tree. It is best to opt for figured chocolate or other sweet Christmas tree decorations. We provide each with a note to whom the gift is intended, but we write not names, but some definitions that the guests will have to think about and get to know each other better (ideal when there are newcomers who need to join the existing company).

What to write on labels:

  1. The owner of the brownest eyes.
  2. The best high jumper.
  3. To the biggest hooligan (here you will have to tell everyone about your hooliganism in childhood).
  4. The owner of the best tan.
  5. The owner of the highest heels.
  6. The owner of the most dangerous job.
  7. A couple whose number of buttons on their clothes is 10.
  8. To the one who is wearing more yellow today.
I think you understand the main message. Guests will independently begin to find out who vacationed where, who has a brighter tan, measure the length of their heels and discuss work.

"Song from a Hat"

By the way, almost all New Year's competitions at the table involve playing with a hat - some notes are thrown into the hat in advance, and then they are pulled out and completed tasks of relatives or colleagues.

In the New Year 2019, we will play with our family a popular variation of this game with songs. You need to scribble notes with winter and New Year's words into the hat, each guest blindly takes a note out of the hat and sings a song in which this word appears.

By the way, you will be able to have fun even if during the feast you forget all the songs - most likely, your family, like my relatives, will have a great idea to compose a small song on the go to the most popular tune, or somehow remake one from famous New Year's songs of past years.

By the way, this game is also suitable for a small company of any age - of course, a schoolchild is unlikely to recognize Soviet songs, but the result will be funny, and different age groups will be able to get closer while playing - after all, cool New Year's competitions unite!

"Mittens"

Naturally, New Year's competitions for young people are not complete without flirting - why not help friends get closer?

So, the girls put on robes or shirts, and the guys are given thick winter mittens. The essence of the competition is to quickly button up the girls' shirts so that they don't freeze!

By the way, my friends, who love various New Year's competitions for teenagers and young people, wanted to do this competition in reverse - freeing the girls from their shirts, however, they were forced to disqualify the participant - it turns out that even with mittens it is convenient to pull the hem of the shirt and tear off all the buttons at once. Therefore, it is better to fasten it; it is not easy to do this in mittens.

"Let's draw Santa Claus"

Creative New Year's competitions for corporate parties are a great opportunity to have fun.

So, holes are made for the hands in a thick sheet of cardboard. We give the players tassels, they must stick their hands into the holes and portray Santa Claus. At this moment they cannot see what they are drawing.

At work, you can divide the team into male and female teams, and give one the task of portraying the Snow Maiden, and the other - Grandfather Frost. The winner is the team whose result is most similar to a fairy-tale character.

By the way, if you are selecting competitions for a New Year's corporate party, do not forget to find funny music - I use cuts from Soviet children's cartoons for New Year's competitions 2019, this usually evokes the warmest emotions.

"We distribute roles"

You can start fun competitions for the New Year for your family with this kind of entertainment.

Prepare more attributes of fairy-tale New Year's characters, put notes with roles in empty Kinder capsules (you can simply wrap them in wrapping paper like candy) and start games at the table for the New Year with an offer to find out who still runs the show.

Everyone present must play their part. These could be snowflakes, bunnies, squirrels, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, the Snow Queen, an overseas guest - Santa Claus and his reindeer. Hand out small items to all guests that will be relevant to their role that night - e.g. snow queen a crown is suitable, Santa Claus can loudly knock with his elegant staff, and a company of oversized bunnie boys with white ears will decorate any New Year's photo.

Believe me, New Year's table games will take on a new color as soon as Grandma Winter or Mikhailo Potapych, who specially woke up for competitions for the New Year 2019 and New Year's dances, begins to speak a toast.

"Photo tests"

Which cool competitions for the new year without photos?

Make an area for photography and collect some props in this corner - guests will be able to take pictures in different images, and then you can arrange photo tests. So, you will need to determine who is suitable for the role:
  • the most decrepit snowflake;
  • the sleepiest guest;
  • the most cheerful Baba Yaga;
  • the hungriest Santa Claus;
  • the most generous Santa Claus;
  • the kindest Santa Claus;
  • the most beautiful Snow Maiden;
  • the most overfed guest;
  • the most cheerful guest;
  • the most cunning Baba Yaga;
  • the evil Kashchei himself;
  • the strongest hero;
  • the most capricious princess;
  • the biggest snowflake;
  • and so on…
By the way, you can hold this competition a little differently - stock up on props, and invite guests to draw, without looking, the role in which they will be photographed, and the rest of the participants should help with advice and deeds to better embody the image. You can laugh during the process, and when you look at the pictures - fortunately, you can do this in just a few minutes.

"Little things from Grandfather Frost"

Tell your guests this legend about how Santa Claus was walking through the forest with gifts, fell with one foot into a snowdrift and spilled gifts from the bag. The big ones remained in the bag, but the small presents fell out. And you picked them up and now give them to all the guests.

Wrap all kinds of nice little things that you bought in advance in opaque packaging, or you can wrap gifts in small pieces of fabric, like miniature bags, tied with a thick thread or ribbon.

Pleasant little things can include: calendar cards, candles, keychains, pens, flashlights, kinders, liquid soap, magnets.

Every time it surprises with what trepidation guests wait for these gifts... Not only children, but even adults :-)

Well, and finally, be a good magician and predictor, another New Year's entertainment from the site:

Now you know how my holiday will go, and what games will you have for the New Year’s corporate party or home party? Share your ideas, because it’s better to prepare table games for the New Year and interesting competitions in advance, and 2019 is just around the corner!

Interesting competitions help to diversify New Year's Eve, make it festive and fun. We offer entertainment options suitable for adults, children and young people.

For the whole family

Some New Year's competitions are suitable for guests of different age categories. Their goal is to unite family and friends for a common fun activity.

Remembering pleasant events

Prepare a symbolic baton - any thing to pass on to each other.

The presenter, with a “stick” in his hands, talks about the best event that happened in the past year and passes the baton to the participants of the evening. Those who fail to remember the joyful event are awarded the "Fortune's Favorite - 2019" award.

The festive relay race is a spiritual competition that allows you to defuse an awkward situation and spend the outgoing year with gratitude.

Game "Pig"

A fun activity suitable for a noisy company. At the beginning of the competition, the presenter secretly names an animal to the participants. Then the guests stand in a circle and join hands.

Now the presenter says the names of the animals out loud. The one whose animal was named quickly sits down. Neighbors, right and left, are trying to stop him.

When the names of the animals are pronounced, the presenter declares: “We’ve trained, now we’re playing at full strength,” and again secretly gives the players the names of the animals. True, now it is the same for everyone - a piglet.

As a result, the guests, having heard the cherished word, simultaneously sit down abruptly and cannot stand on their feet. Entertainment perfectly improves the mood and is suitable for the middle of a festive evening.

Get a wish

The competition will require preliminary preparation. Wishes to guests are written in advance on paper and placed in balloons. The names of the parts are indicated separately on the pieces of paper. human body(chin, foot, jaw, etc.) and put notes in the hat.

At the party, those gathered take their favorite balloons with wishes. To read the note, you will have to burst the balloon using the body part indicated on the sticker he pulled out of his headdress.

Charging Santa Claus

Game for large quantity players. Santa Claus or a guest in a suit performs exercises. The rules are simple: “Guests must repeat the movements, but vice versa. If the “grandfather” leans to the right, the rest leans to the left, etc. You can show an example, together with the presenter.

Anyone who makes just one wrong move is eliminated. The pace gradually becomes faster and Santa Claus tries to confuse the participants.

As a result, players are awarded places and awards with funny titles are presented.

Best Actor

The competition is an excellent opportunity for guests to demonstrate their acting skills by playing the symbol of the coming year - a pig. Everyone has their own image - “sad little pig”, “mysterious Sovronya”, “disgruntled pig”, etc. Guests are given pig ears and snouts prepared in advance. Some of the invitees are given the honorable mission of judging the “actors” as a jury.

Having started the competition, guests communicate with each other in the manner assigned to them. After the appointed time, the “jury members” determine the winner by secret ballot. The most artistic guest, in a solemn atmosphere, receives an Oscar.

Entertainment for children

Kids should also have fun at the New Year's party. Offer them active and fun competitions.

Snowball game

Participants are divided into two teams. They make snowballs from old newspapers and compete to see who is the most accurate. Members of both teams are placed one behind the other. On the floor, colored tape marks where you can’t step.

Baskets are installed behind the line where participants will throw “snow shells”. Children take turns throwing snowballs, and the team that hits the most times wins.

Competition "balls"

A table is placed in the center of the hall, especially for the competition. A light ball is placed in the middle of it. Participants stand at different ends of the table - two people. They need to blow on the ball, moving it towards the opponent.

The competition lasts until the goal is achieved. The winner receives an honorary prize. The competition can also be a team competition, where several guys participate, taking turns sending balls to the opponent.

We decorate the Christmas tree

For the competition, prepare a couple of small real or artificial Christmas trees. There is an option, take two kids and make them New Year's trees.

Participants are divided into two groups and take plastic New Year's toys on strings. The goal is to decorate the Christmas trees with the largest number of New Year's attributes in 2 minutes.

To complicate the task, “Christmas trees” are installed a couple of meters from the participants. Children, one after another, run up to the “tree” to hang the decoration on it.

New Year's tinsel

Two teams take part in the competition. They stand opposite each other, and each of the guys is given tinsel in their hands.

The competition takes place to the accompaniment of a cheerful holiday song. The first team member wraps tinsel around the hand of the child next to him. And so - along the chain.

The last player’s task is to run up to the first and tie his hand with tinsel. When everything is done, the team raises their hands. The children who complete the task first are recognized as winners and receive prizes.

Table competitions

For those who want to have fun without leaving New Year's table, a lot of competitions have also been invented. They are able to provide those gathered with a wonderful mood without requiring them to waste their energy.

Let's remember the alphabet

The Alphabet is a competition suitable for that part of the party when the guests have had time to try the treats and festive drinks and are ready to take an active part in the event. Champagne-filled glasses and positive attitude participants.

The host complains that during the party he forgot the alphabet. Dear guests can help you remember the letters. They take turns making festive toasts.

The first one's words begin with the letter "A". The second one makes a speech with “B”, etc. For example:

  • “Shouldn’t we raise our glasses to the happiness of those gathered?”
  • “Be happy in the coming 2019!”,
  • “I wish everyone good health, good luck and more money.”

The participant who makes the most interesting and sincere wish wins.

Concert from a hat

For the competition, write in advance on notepads the words of the New Year theme (blizzard, snowman, Santa Claus, piece of ice, etc.). These pieces of paper are put into a “magic” Santa Claus hat.

Everyone takes out a note and sings a song with the given word. Good idea– include an arrangement found on the Internet.

Gift bag

For the contest you will need a bag filled with holiday favors. The presenter turns to the person sitting to his right: “I’ve been meaning to give it as a gift for a long time, but I couldn’t…”. And he gives a joke reason - “he was kidnapped by aliens”, “greed got in the way”, etc.

Afterwards, without peeking, he takes a gift out of the bag and hands it over. The person who receives the item takes the package in his hands and says similar words to the neighbor on the right. The funnier the reason that prevented you from giving a gift earlier, the better.

For adults

Adult entertainment at a New Year's party often involves drinking alcohol. But for those who prefer to have fun without alcoholic drinks, many wonderful competitions have been invented.

Drink - have a bite

Those invited are given two small sheets of paper. The word “drink” is written on the first one, and “snack” on the second one. Each guest adds a phrase, for example - “Drink from a vase”, “snack with pepper.” Afterwards, the notes are hidden in two caps and taken out without looking, one by one.

Guess who?

New Year's cocktail

One of the guests is blindfolded with thick cloth. Then, another participant in the competition prepares a drink from what is on the festive table. The potion is given to the guest blindfolded to drink. His task is to guess what his holiday cocktail is made from.

Those gathered record how many ingredients have been guessed. “Masha – 4 out of 7”, etc. The guest who guesses the largest number of components wins.

New Year's lottery

A win-win lottery will also delight those gathered at the festive table. Prepare in advance the number of gifts corresponding to the number of guests. Or better yet, two or three more.

You will also need lottery tickets for the competition. Interesting idea– take a picture of a pig from the Internet, print copies and draw serial numbers on them. Hand them over to your party guests upon entering.

There is another option - invite everyone to the center of the room and give them a task - to sing a New Year's song, read a poem, remember an interesting joke. The reward is the ability to put your hand into a box of lottery tickets and get one.

Any interesting souvenir is suitable as a prize - ginger cookies, chocolate in a festive wrapper, a figurine of the symbol of the year. It would be nice to prepare a small funny poem for the presentation of the prize. For example: “You will be glad to receive gifts from fate - take a bar of chocolate.”

Entertainment for schoolchildren

It is possible to prepare interesting competitions for the most different ages. Both first-graders and high school students will rejoice at the opportunity to have fun.

Don't miss the place

An ageless competition is a game with chairs, interesting for both children and adults.

During the competition, schoolchildren run around them to a festive tune. After the music stops playing, they must immediately take the empty seats. The child is left without a chair - his participation in the competition ends.

Leap into the future

The tradition of jumping from a chair on New Year's Eve came from Germany. According to her, the further the guest jumps, the better he will live in the New Year. True, you should be careful, which is why some refuse the attribute in the form of a chair. The winner is the guest who jumped the farthest.

Shoulder to shoulder

Participants are divided into two people. A holiday tune comes on and the children dance and jump to it. As a result, the couples are separated and the participants “mix with each other.”

The music stops and the host of the competition says: “shoulder to shoulder!” At a signal, children from pairs run up to each other and touch their shoulders. The last person to find a partner stops participating in the competition. Then the presenter sets another task: “nose to nose”, “back to back, etc.”

The competition is conducted in a different way. You will need New Year's themed props - cut out snowflakes, Christmas trees, candies in holiday wrapping, etc. Place them in the room where you are celebrating the holiday. The presenter gives the signal: “Christmas tree to Christmas tree,” and the children each take a Christmas tree and run up to their pair.

Entertainment for young people

Young people also love New Year's competitions. Below are a few ideas on how to have fun for people in this age category.

Unload the Christmas tree

Take two guests and blindfold them. Their task is to remove toys and candies from Christmas trees. The New Year's tree will be other invitees, placed one after another. New Year's attributes are hung on them using ordinary clothespins.

Volunteers are given boxes in their hands and, blindfolded, are led from different sides to an impromptu “Christmas tree”. At the leader’s command, they begin to unload the Christmas trees and put toys with candies into the box.

When the guests meet each other, the competition is over. The participant who collects the most holiday attributes wins.

Firecrackers for girls

At the very beginning of the evening, male guests are given firecrackers. When the guests have gathered, the rules of the competition are announced. On New Year's Eve, the guys, one by one, explode “shells”. And the girls’ task is to immediately jump into the arms of the young man standing next to them.

The girl, who forgot to jump on her hands or was confused, carries out the task of the celebrants.

Pass the tangerine

For the competition, participants are divided into two groups and stand one after another. The presenter’s task is to prepare in advance two large cups of washed tangerines and two more empty ones. Guest, first standing, must grab the tangerine with his teeth and pass it to another participant without using his hands. He also takes it with his teeth and gives it further.

The one who stands last puts the fruit on the plate. The winners are the team members who collect the most tangerines within the agreed time.

Competitions for corporate events

At work, New Year's entertainment can also be both table-based and active.

Decorating the Christmas tree

The guests are given the task of decorating the Christmas tree blindfolded. We need to find the New Year's tree. The host of the competition places those who wish to do so in the center of the room and gives them a toy each. Their eyes are covered with a bandage and rotated several times.

The man walks forward all the way. When he meets an object or another participant on the way, he hangs a decoration on this “Christmas tree”.

The winner is the one who managed to hang the toy on a real Christmas tree. The prize for second place goes to the player who finds the most original “tree” for his decoration.

Dancing dancing

Prepare several musical selections of different topics in advance. At the beginning of the competition, participants are divided into pairs. Each moves to the music, but it does not match the nature of the dance.

For example, the presenter says: “Couple number one is slow dancing.” And it sounds like “Lezginka”. It will be original if you give the participants the task of dancing in old forgotten genres - waltz, paso doble.

Solemn oath

Guests are given pieces of paper where they must write three things they must do in the new year - skydive, go to the mountains, join a gym, etc.

The notes are put into a headdress and mixed. Participants randomly pull out notes with promises and read aloud what they got. Ask the person who reads the promise to guess who wrote it.

Fun activities

There are competitions where each of the guests will have to show resourcefulness and artistry. Their goal is to amuse guests and make themselves happy.

Game of Crocodile

For the competition, prepare stickers in advance where you write the names of famous paintings about New Year and Christmas - “Sorcerers”, “Home Alone”, “Irony of Fate”, etc.

One of the participants takes out any sticker and pantomimes its plot. The task of the others is to understand what picture he has in mind. The first one to guess also takes out a piece of paper and depicts a movie. Based on the results of the competition, the presenter awards the most artistic player a reward.

"The coolest"

Men participate in the game - about five people. The presenter puts in the cup boiled eggs, according to the number of heroes, and says that one of them is raw. Participants take turns hitting them on their foreheads.

The competition turns out to be exciting, and gradually the tension between the guests grows. Nobody wants to get dirty with a raw egg.

Frozen T-shirt

For the competition, prepare three voluminous men's T-shirts. They need to be rolled up in advance and left in the freezer. Select three male participants for the evening. They are given a difficult task - to put on the T-shirts. The one who completes it first wins.

Read lips

Two competitors put on headphones, where fairly loud music is playing. Players should not hear each other. One receives cards with questions. For example: “How much champagne do you need to be happy?”, “What do you put red caviar on?”

The second one’s task is to understand what is being asked and answer. Then the cards with questions end up in the hands of others. The winner is the participant who answers the maximum number of questions asked.

Quiet entertainment

Not everyone likes active, noisy competitions. If guests prefer to celebrate the New Year in a relaxed atmosphere, prepare competitions that suit their temperament.

New Year's fortune telling

The next fun will not require guests to leave the table. You will need small sheets of paper and pens. Those gathered write a positive prediction on stickers. They are folded and placed in a magic bag.

Then the host distributes new pieces of paper to the guests, where they have to write when the wish comes true. For example: “Very soon everything will come true” or “wait a couple of years.” They are placed in the second bag.

One after another, those gathered pull out stickers from both bags and read aloud the prediction they received. The more original the forecasts, the better.

Christmas story

Another original entertainment is making up a New Year's story. For this, guests are given 10-12 stickers on which they will write various words. Half of them should be related to New Year's celebrations, and the other half at their discretion. Afterwards, the stickers are placed in a box and mixed.

The first guest takes out two or three pieces of paper. He says the words: “Somehow on New Year’s Eve...”. And he comes up with the beginning of a story using the words he comes across.

The second guest also pulls out some stickers. He continues the story, adding to it the words that fell to him. A fairy tale is a very interesting and exciting task that guests will not remain indifferent to.

New Year's news

Prepare cards for the game by writing 5 words on them that are far from each other in meaning. For example: “Snow Maiden, bus, parrot, castle, subway.” Guests take turns drawing a card at random. The task is to compose a sensation close in theme to the New Year.

Every word on the card is used. And at the end of the competition, a present is awarded for the most interesting news, and a toast is made to pleasant events in the coming year.

Summary

To prevent guests invited to the New Year's party from getting bored, invite them to take part in competitions. There is suitable entertainment for both adults and children.

Stories from our readers

New Year is a magical holiday. Many adults and all children are looking forward to it. An entertainment program will help you celebrate the New Year in the company of family and friends. To do this, you need to prepare table and outdoor competitions in advance.

Interesting and cool games for corporate parties will also help to entertain and unite the team at the New Year's party. Can't do without fun and funny competitions for children and a festive matinee in kindergarten or school.

    Game "Upside down"

The presenter asks the players one by one questions in poetic form. The participants' task is to answer funny in rhyme and name the correct answer. Long thoughts lead to dropping out of the game. Hints from other participants are also prohibited (whoever gave a hint leaves the game). The last player remaining wins.

    Examples of questions and answers:
    Down from the branch
    On the branch again
    Jumps quickly... cow (monkey)

The competition involves male-female pairs. Each pair receives 2 apples. Partners stand in front of each other. Then all participants are blindfolded. The essence of the competition is to eat an apple from your partner's hand as quickly as possible. At the same time, you cannot feed yourself. The winner is the pair that gnaws each other's apples faster than the rest.

A minimum of 3 male-female pairs participate in the competition. A handkerchief is tied around the neck of one of the partners (in a loose knot). As soon as the music starts playing, the second participant must, without using his hands, using only his teeth, untie the scarf around his partner’s neck. It is forbidden to help him. The pair that completes the task faster than the rest wins.

To conduct the competition you will need empty wine or champagne bottles, pencils and strong thread. As many players as there are empty bottles can participate.

The bottles are placed in the middle of the room in a circle. Competitors use a long thread to tie pencils to their belts so that they hang almost to their knees. It is very important that the pencils are on the back side of each participant. With these dangling pencils, players must hit the bottleneck. You can squat, kneel, bend. You can't help with your hands. The winner is the participant who gets the pencil into the bottle the fastest.

    Game "Snowman"

Anyone can participate in the recreational relay race. To play, you need to prepare an easel and attach whatman paper to it. On a large sheet of paper, you need to draw a big snowman in advance, but forget about such a detail as the nose. It should not be drawn, but separately cut out of colored paper and given a cone shape.

Participants take turns approaching the easel. They are blindfolded and given a snowman's nose, which is secured with double-sided tape. Then the players are given a good spin and told to attach the nose to the snowman. The winner is the one who sticks the part in the right place on whatman paper.

Participants are divided equally into 2 teams. Trays are placed at both ends of the room. At the beginning of the room there are two empty ones, and at the end - filled with tangerines (the same number on each tray). The first two players from each team are given a tablespoon. The participants’ task is to run to a full tray with a spoon, put one tangerine on it without using their hands, and slowly bring it to their team’s empty tray. If the tangerine falls, you need to pick it up with a spoon and continue the relay race. Whichever team transfers all the tangerines from the full to the empty tray the fastest will win.

    Game "Hibernating Bear"

To play the game you will need 3 gymnastic hoops. A group of children plays the role of bunnies, and one child plays the role of a hibernating bear. When the music starts playing, the bunnies go for a walk. They jump near the bear, trying to wake him up. They can sing, dance, laugh, clap and tap their feet on the floor as long as the music plays. When the musical accompaniment subsides, the bear wakes up, and the bunnies hide in hoop houses lying on the floor. If there is a large group of guys, and there are only 3 hoops on the floor, you can hide in them in twos or threes. The bunny that was caught by the bear (who did not have time to hide in the hoop) begins to play the role of a bear. The game continues until interest disappears.

The game involves 10 people. For the competition you will need 9 chairs. All chairs should be placed in a large circle. It is better if they stand at a certain distance from each other. Participants, having heard the music, begin to walk in a circle. You cannot hold on to the back of a chair. At the end of the musical accompaniment, the children quickly sit on chairs. The participant who does not have enough chair is eliminated. After 1 player is eliminated, 1 chair is also taken. At the end of the competition, 2 participants and 1 chair remain. The one who sits on the last chair wins.

The competition involves 2 teams of 2 people. Each group receives large balloons, double-sided tape, scissors and markers of different colors.

The participants' task is to connect the balls using double-sided tape to make a snowman. Then you need to decorate the snowman and prepare him for the New Year. You can draw his eyes, nose, mouth, hair, buttons, or any other element. You have 5 minutes to complete the task.
