King Fahd Fountain (Jeddah) - the tallest

Circulating fountains do not require a constant supply of water from outside, since the water in them moves along vicious circle. The main reservoir is a decorative bowl located below. To supply water upward, a pump is used, hidden in the technical compartment of the fountain. Water can flow in the form of streams or cascades. This design is used not only for interior fountains, but also for park and street fountains. It is very economical, since you only need to add water to compensate for evaporation.

Flowing fountains require a permanent connection to the water supply and sewage system. In some cases, it is possible to use natural differences in water levels in reservoirs to create flowing fountain complexes such as in Peterhof.

Regardless of the method of water supply, fountains differ in functionality, design complexity, decorative and aesthetic effect according to the following characteristics:

1. jet dynamics:

a. constant and uniform flow of water through fixed nozzles;

b. intermittent and (or) uneven flow of water through fixed or movable nozzles, not associated with light and sound effects;

Thermotolerant coliforms (TC)*

Indicates recent water contamination. In fountain water, the maximum concentration level is 100 units per 100 ml.
